    Thank you, Classical Grooming, for making another video for the budget aftershaves of another brand that I had wanted you to cover.
    Lustray Spice was my favorite of these, except that it is too weak & does not last long enough.
    Lustray Coachman was the strongest and longest lasting, but does not come in a gallon size & I do not like the slight burnt rubber / wood smell that it has.
    Lustray Blue Spice is stronger & longer lasting than Spice, like I wish Spice would have at least been, but I do not like the initial musk scent when you first spray it (it does fade away fortunately).
    Lustray Bay Rum had almost no scent other than a watered down aftershave base with some mop water moldy bay rum scent, and it was my next to least favorite.
    Lustray Draggon Noir was strong & long-lasting like Coachman, but does not come in a gallon size & I did not like that it smelt somewhat perfume-like.
    I probably have not tried Lustray Lilac because of Stephan Lilac being so bad that I did not want to risk buying a gallon of Lustray Lilac not knowing what it smells like.
    Stephan Liliac is my least favorite Stephan aftershave, it smelled like a lilac scented toilet bowl cleaner in my opinion, like the solid kind that you hang inside your toilet; I even used some as a toilet bowl cleaner when I could no longer get myself to continue using it anymore. :D

      Thanks for your comments, and I appreciate your feedback on the Lustray line. I actually like that the Spice scent comes and goes, because generally, I prefer my aftershaves to be short-lived (with some exceptions, like Coachman). However, I have noticed that when I use a shaveless cream before the shave or something with glycerin in it after that the scent seems to linger longer. Maybe adding a few drops of glycerin or jojoba oil to the Spice might make it last a bit more. That's a guess, and an experiment I'll be running later. Speaking of Stephan's Lilac, that review should be up in a week or two...We'll see if I have the same experience as you! I can assure you that there are big differences between the barbershop lilacs... Thank you for being a part of the channel! If you know anyone with similar interests, spread the word!

    Please do a video on where you get your glass bottles and such things. Ty.

    I decant into glass bottles I get at Walmart Neighborhood Market. I use the Spice, Blue Spice and Coachman a lot and really like them. For the pennies these guys cost, you can't go wrong. 100% agree with you on the first two. The Bay Rum and Dragon Noir are not worth the time or money. If you want to throw a couple others into the mix that are distributed by Clubman, the Jeris Musk and Osage Rub are a couple of sleepers that are also pennies and work fab.

      In glass is definitely the way to go! I'm a big fan of the Jeris Musk as well.

    if Pinaud is Budweiser, than Coachman is Bud light

      I disagree, respectfully. Neither of the two is in an identity crisis.

    I find your reviews and comments to be very useful. My only suggestion would be to correct your use of terminology and use the term "fragrance" as opposed to "odor" which is defined as an offensive or repugnant smell. Thanks.

      Thanks! You are not the first person to point this out, and I think that I am better at using "fragrance" in my later videos. I still catch myself sometimes using "odor" thought. Thanks for being part of the channel!

    You need to try masters smokey oud. It hits crazy above its barbershop aftershave price point.

      I purchased a bottle last week! I haven't tried it yet, but the other Master's aftershaves that I ordered with it have all been great! A review of it is in the queue. Thank you so much for the suggestion; keep them coming, and thanks for being part of the channel.

    Which one would you think be better for barbershops Lustray Blue Spice or Stephan 320 ?

    • @classicalgrooming
      @classicalgrooming  6 месяцев назад +1

      That is a tough question for me. I think that Blue Spice has a more traditional "masculine" scent, but 320 is a more soothing aftershave. In my parent's shop we usually had three for the customer to pick from, and let them make the call.

      @classicalgrooming Good to know thank you...going back to barbering just like my dad did! Just curious if you've heard of or tried Booster Polar Ice Aftershave? My supplier has it for about $7 and glad to have found your channel...thanks again!

    Any reason to buy Coachman if you are a Clubman Classic user?

    • @classicalgrooming
      @classicalgrooming  Год назад +3

      So, to my nose, coachman has a slight leather note. Others tell me I'm imagining things. But they are really, close, so unless slight changes are important to you, I'd say no.

      @@classicalgrooming Thanks for your reply. I also want to say how much I (and I am sure that I speak for many others) enjoy your reviews. Frankly, when it comes to aftershaves, etc. yours are the best on RUclips. Also agree with you regarding decanting Clubman products into glass.
