damn ... i have a 14 manual that i would loooooove to have a auto trans in ... the 8speed would be that much better ... guess i need to start saving my pennies ..
Does this fit in a 2-door 2013 JK? Making sure that the longer transmission, with the 2-door, is not a problem. Know of any shops that can do this work anywhere? Also, do I still go with the same gearing I am planning on in my axels? Planning on 4.56 and running 35x12.5 all around. I've driven a Grand Cherokee with this setup from the factory and the 3.6 is completely different. Peppy, keeps good highway speed, plenty of power around town, etc.
So the transmission we use with the V6 is a 850RE and the 845RE and that will not work in a V8 because you will need a HP70 or a HP75. But all the rest of the 8 speed swap will work.. Like the wiring and module, shifter, mounts..
Only other question. Is there any reason to not go with the 8HP70 or 8HP75? Seems like they can be found a little easier and slightly less money. Thanks.
Yes it will, we have done it on many 2 doors. The 8 speed will work on any 2012-2018 Jeep JK with the 3.6L and it does not matter if it is for a manual or a auto transmission Jeep JK. The 8 speed will work..
Awesome, thank you. So both the 845 and the 850 will line up with the 3.6? I was going over the BOM on your site and only see the 845 listed. Also, i see that there are 845res and 845rfes. Is there a difference between these?
Thx Todd! Appreciate the video. Looking forward to getting the swap done.
It will work out great.
Hell yes
BIG improvement..
Could you just use a transmission from a 8-speed jl or jt? Instead of the ram truck.
How do you mount the jl cooler on the jk?

With this swap, is there any sort of PCM/TCM flashing if you already have a 12-18 auto?
I do not have one for the Nag1

We have done many 2 doors with no problem, the 8 speed in a JK is a big bonus and that is a good gear setup for 35s..
So much want.
It does make a big difference in gas mileage and power
Todd can I go first with the 8speed swap after that going for the v8 on with your kits?

So, 14' auto nag1, Rubicon tcase, will bolt up to the 8 speed 8hp50?
Yes but you will need to convert it to a manual t case..
@@jeepspeedshop I heard that in the video then I thought I heard you say the Rubicon case had the correct input.
Only other question. Is there any reason to not go with the 8HP70 or 8HP75? Seems like they can be found a little easier and slightly less money. Thanks.
Just can not bolt it up to a 3.6L
@@jeepspeedshop I was not aware. Thanks for the info.
Will this swap work on 2dr jks? (2013 jk auto 2dr)

What the price of your kit with the exhaust?
The wiring/module/floor plate with spacers $1500, plate B $50,00, bezel $50.00, Exhaust $450
Do you have to do anything with the driveshaft?
The stock JK drive shafts work, now if you have aftermarket shafts you would need to look at the slip yoke and see if you have 2 inches of room..
Can this be done with a 3.8 2011 2 door jk?
Sorry we can not do a 8 speed swap on a 2007-2011 Jeep JK
What’s the difference between the 850 and the 870 which is better?
I don't know of a 870, I only know of the 845RE and the 850RE i like the 850 better.. They are both great transmissions
Is this carb legal?
Yes, doing a 8 speed swap does not effect the emissions and no engine programming is needed..
