- Want to know more about made-to-measure suits? I take you through the process. The factory even makes a mistake so you can see what happens in that scenario. This is my third HSM suit. I like these suits for the opportunity to select your own style and fit...for a reasonable price.
OCTOBER 25, 2020 UPDATE: Dillard’s ordered the BH4 dark buttons and offered to swap the buttons at no charge. I decided to stick with the lighter BH5 buttons so they just gave me the extra set. Overall, I am completely happy with the suit, even though the process took an unexpected turn.
Thank you for the video. I’ve made mistakes when purchasing suits in the past (wasting money on poor quality). Hart Schaffner Marx is in the top 3 for what I’m looking at purchasing next month. I think I’m going to get a navy blue notch lapel to start off with and then a charcoal later on this year. Both will be good for interviewing after college. Are there any recommendations you have on specific jacket or trouser options?
Thanks for your comment Samuel. One of the things I wish I stressed more was the trouser options. I went with a reinforced crotch. Another option is to have a second pair made for you. This doesn't sound like a big deal but when I bring $1,200+ suits to the dry cleaners, I sometimes wish I would have a second pair just in case. I think this is what I will do going forward. Great question!
@@manning8 that’s one issue I’ve always had with off the rack suits. They’ve always been too tight in the crotch which has led to blow outs (I have big legs and seat). Thank you for the insight
Sizing is too tight fitting. and the fit is wrong. If you get a larger size the shoulders are still too small.
This video is an opportunity to learn about the made to measure process and the customization opportunities. It doesn’t matter if you like my shoulders or the suit I bought. Thanks for the view and comment, I guess :/
