Found a GPS tracker under the seat of my Harley

- I was cleaning some stuff up and saw this little box under my seat. I had seen it before but never thought about it. I pulled it up and looked underneath and its a GPS tracker.

Where does the dealer put them typically, just bought a used bike with pink in hand and want to check and remove it there is one
They have one on my bike . They said I cant remove it until the bike is payed off . It was in the contract for the note .

Definitely the dealership. Defaulting on payments is one of HD biggest problems right now. This should be illegal, but its not.
Ya I think it was from the previous owner. I called the dealership when found it and they said its not theirs so I took it out.
That type of GPS is used to find your bike if it gets stolen. It won't send your location to the government. It's a low budget version of "On Star". You call the company (or they probably have an app for it now) and they will activate it and find your bike (as long as the thief don't find it first!)
I believe this is starting to become more of a reality as dealers can potentially partner with the insurance companies and the govt to track your driving habits and emissions (for future taxing based your "carbon footprint") and to a host of other companies developing AI software etc... be aware.. its happening bit time in autos right now

What type of search did you do? I’ve played it back several times and i cant understand what you’re saying.
I just searched the model number on google and found out what it is and how old. It was from when the bike was new and it only had 1 owner before me so I knew it wasn't from the company I bought it from. Plus they have to tell you its there.
Found one under seat and when it is unplugged bike won't start.
That means it was wired into your ignition. Mine was just hooked to power but did not do anything when I took it off. Did you buy it from a dealer?
If police install this on your car and your remove it, make them prove you did such actions. Otherwise you gotta pay for it.😅 ripped one outta my 200s the dealership was pissseed. They put another one in, removed it. Wont go there agian.
