- In the dark days of Guilford operation we watch the pushers hook onto the PYRP at South Wilkes Barre behind the Burger King on Carey Ave. This was the only time we saw either an SD45 or SD26 down here and the siding is gone now too. We then go to Hudson to see the train begin it's climb up Yatesville Hill. Video by Tony V. Sr.
I’m guessing those pushers are SD-40’s?? One of the best locomotives ever built by EMD. Workhorses.
And the best part NO GRAFFITI !!!!!!!
heard ns might put another track behind burger king there. idk how true that is. when was the siding ripped out there
dalton williams ......do you mean a second track? There's quite a bit of traffic there now. I'd say 10-12 trains a day.
@@thomasl8734 yes a second track. dont think there that many trains that come threw here a day. sorry about the year later response
Beautiful old trains
What an awesome video! Thanks for posting on RUclips. Vintage caboose, rolling stock, and locomotives. Love the high nose 45. Great stuff; moved from Illinois to Clark's Summit in '88, so I really didn't experience the Guilford Years. Witnessed the single tracking and betterment of the line by CP. take care.
the kids in this video make the video amazing stuff man ☺ cant ever keep em quite or still. bahahha
My grandfather was yard master back in the day in the Hudson yard.
That is a monster of a train
And did you say that was 1987
SD45 X SOUTHERN OR NORFOLK&WESTERN!
The pusher trains in the end were the DPUs of then
