May Showers: Scalping Warning!

May rain's has the zoysia growing like crazy. With all the rain showers and storms in Hawaii, finding a nice day to mow has it's challenges. There is a high probability of scalping with all the excessive growth in-between mows.

How short are you cutting?

My mower is set to 7/8" but it does feel leggy down below. I took at measurement from the soil to the top of the grass blade and the actual measurement is 1-3/8" to 1-1/2"
