Sin lugar a dudas, una de las mas grandes bailarinas del mundo en su epoca de apogeo; que dicho sea de paso, perduro por muchos anos, a pesar de estar casi ciega...durante la mayor parte de su vida.... Bravo Sra. Alonso!!!!

If you look closely at 6:47 they have added one or maybe two additional turns by editing the film. That is not a good thing to do. Alicia was a great ballerina but here she is already in her 40's and age shows - I saw her in Giselle when she came to Los Angeles in the 70's with Fernando Esquivel - already a woman in the late 50's with severe sight impairment - and she got standing ovations. Admittedly mostly for her reputation and in honor of her long career - but also because she embodied a classical technique and a romantic way of expression in dance that no longer existed even if the flexibility and stamina was failing.

I used to be part of BNC (figurant) and I saw him many times in class and performing.....I admire him very much.
