Awesome info. I’d be lost without these videos.
    Much appreciated. 🙏🏼

I love these videos and always learn something from each! My favorite from this one was about Exposure Compensation: +2 for a polar bear in the snow, -2 for a black cat in an alleyway. That's a good starting point for thinking about where I need to be on settings.

Hi I’ve tested the q3 last week and there’s one thing I can’t really stand.. the stupid info settings screen is ok under the frame in EVF but gets IN the frame when you shoot with the lcd and half press the shutter button. Leica engineers must be dumb or maybe it’s a screen problem. They made a new tilt screen so why this stupid line is still there in the 3?

Yeah it’s a weird one. It doesn’t bother me yet but it will I’m sure. Tho I’m an evf shooter mainly. Thanks for the comment mate

After listening to your review of these three cameras, I’m glad I own the Fuji! The only thing I don’t use that you mentioned is the back button focus, I just can’t get my finger to click on that while doing street photography. It’s a bit awkward. I’ve been using the shutter button for years now, and if I have to I’ll just put it in manual and move the camera. Or else focus first and then hold down the button and take the shot.
Looking at the Leica, there’s too many negatives for me to pay 6K that camera!

i agree mate.. the fuji is def the better camera. the user exp of the leica is lovely tho! but yes way over hyped. makes you realise how good the fuji are for the money

Useful content. Don’t quite get the zone focusing issue w/Lucia, though. Would adapting a vintage manual lens meet the need?

There’s no issue with it mate. It’s perfect. Just need to practice with it. The issue is only going from mf to afc. I love it otherwise

I just received an x100VI, also have a Sony a7rv, and preordered a Leica Q3, and muscle memory is so important especially if you travel with your camera and want to avoid fumbling with it while walking around a city you're not familiar with.

I haven't changed my camera for years (an old Canon 5D mk4) and normally use 2 lenses when out and about. I set the short cuts when I bought it and haven changed them.
    Great video 2x👍

'Manual continuous single' sounds like my love life. I'm a Fuji user, so expected a racier existence if I'm honest!

A short while back you gave your thoughts on the Q2 and concluded that you wouldn't buy one. What made you change your mind?

hey man, i said i wouldnt for the money it was then priced at. for 3k i feel its a great camera! a grand more than the fuji x1006. tho i do miss the x100v for the size etc, i needed to scratch the leica itch. its def not worth more than 3k imo.. tho i do love it

      I enjoyed the video.
But I had to smile as you kept saying (for the most ridiculous priced camera of the bunch) “for some reason the Leica is crap at this” or “I can’t do this with the Leica”…….😂😂

the 100VI is very disappointing and is not great with high ISO, 40 MP is not that much better and I prefer the 100V and I am not sure if it is down to the lens. I am glad I kept the 100V because I am thinking of selling the 100VI because it misses focus in continuous focus. I am a single focus shooter so its not a major problem. The battery life of 100VI is crap and I have turned off as much as possible to extend the battery life while shooting. I thought IBIS would be better and I thought I could get to 1/2 sec handheld but best I can do is 1/15 sec. I need to do a test with xt-4 and 100VI IBIS comparison because I think I can get 1/2 sec on XT-4. I didn't upgrade to XT-5 because I was waiting to test the 100VI and I think Fuji should have added same screen. Anyone who has the 100V keep it as I think the 100VI was rushed to get a camera out. I agree with you about the noise on Q2 and I thought it would have been better up to 6400, but DXO PureRaw 3 does a great job especially with fuji files. IBIS is better on Q2 and I think the raw files are lovely with very little processing. Great honest video Gareth.
