Good to see Scott is getting in more videos - there's a sense of maturity and professionalism he brings to the videos that not many other IGN staff do.
Honestly, when an article on the OUYA (it was on Yahoo) mentioned that it can run emulators, many persons actually started taking an interest to it. Really weird considering that they all have a PC or Mac, or even a laptop, that is perfectly capable of downloading and running emulators. Heck, you can run emulators on PS3, PSP, PS Vita, and I'm guessing Xbox 360 as well.
Its a gaming system, It was on kickstarter had a lot of people backing it, I personally don't like kickstarter nor do I like gaming consoles, this was a great idea, it was just missing bits and pieces to make it "shine" to the publics attention.
The sad part about the console launch is that backers like myself have still yet to receive our product. I purchased mine last Nov., yet while it goes on sale at retail stores. Scratching my head on that one.......
I think it should also be able to have Netflix, RUclips, internet, all that good stuff. Which means as soon as Nvidia Grid is all set up you should be able to play AAA titles on it.
My feelings is not to hate it before you try it, It may run games at a pretty good FPS, like Skyrim, they said it could do almost any game. I think this gaming system was made for that thing we have all been waiting for, the one to run all games on one system except nobody is giving it a shot. A lot of people loved it on Kickstarter, now that it came out all I see is a bunch of hate on something people have not even tried.
You see, number 3 had a much more immersive story, while number 5 had a fun lasting co - op, number 1 is there because of it immersive story only. 2 - Has the best multiplayer, and graphics, without that, it wouldnt be there.
The Ouya shows some sort of potential, but its being completely overshadowed by the newer gaming consoles i.e PS4 & Xbox one. I know that it isn't meant to compete with them, but its true. Also not many people know what it is. I personally think that unless it gets some sort attention this console is going to be a lost cause.
But taxes are determined depending your country and other stuff (which, sincerely, I do not know) I was talking about the actual fisical price of the console.
Since this device is Android powered, I don't think so... PS: There is no slot for game cartridges. All the games are downloaded. That means that if the game is available for download, your good to go

I like how people compare this to the Xbone and and PS4. Guys this is NOT a system on that level, and was never meant to be. This is an inexpensive outlet for indie developers to have they're own system to easily release they're own creativity on, without having to go through major companies that can make it a pain in they're butt to do so. It's not meant to impress the hardcore, just take a huge step towards more freedom for smaller studios. You don't like it, don't buy it.

don't mind spending a 100 bucks. with a dedicated controller, and Emus/Roms, and possible new games for it in the future. I know I can play Emus/Roms on my laptop but a small console made for it and then some, it's worth a 100 bucks. It's not like I'm investing 300-400+ dollars on it.
Microsoft didn't give you a headset as you have Kinect, you may have to pay for your membership online but it is about ten times better than psn will ever be. In the reveal conference Sony revealed things that the Xbox has been doing for years now. Xbox One is evolving a games console into an entertainment device, the ps4 is just a games console at the end of the day
Because it's a great console at an incredibly cheap price point. Plug it into your computer and bam, it's a Dev Kit that lets developers make games for it. Not to mention you can use a wide variety of controllers like the 360 and PS3 on it and all of the games have some sort of F2P aspect to it. The PS4 will be a waste at launch because all you're getting is a new console with a possibility to fail with games that won't look or play too different until the system has aged a year or two.

The Ouya looks more like a Apple HDD but with a chrome layout to it! Looking forward to seeing more in the future.

Ouya is a little console that plays old games that u wouldn't normally be able to play. Example: smash bros (original) just to letting everyone know
I'll get an Ouya around Christmas it has some cool features and is cheap at only 100$.

This is not a traditional console. For what it is, it is interesting. And in the future i hope it improves.

that's actually a pretty good deal, remember the Gameboy was 100 bucks, so this is sort of a step up!

they will make OUYA consoles every year. Kinda sucks knowing that instead of this one being fully supported, they will just make and sell another one.
