I purchased the tool two days ago and have retrieved over 200 balls in approximately two hours. It works wonderfully on soft bottom ponds, if used in areas with debris like branches or rocks not so good as it will snag.

My buddy bought one of these, we have retrieved hundreds of balls in weed filled lakes in Florida. Obviously the areas of lakes that have few weeds it is more successful. Does not work every throw but it absolutely works.

I live in Florida. serious weeds in some locations and sometimes sand bottoms. In about 8 rounds using this device OVER 200 balls. I have on multiple occasions 6 balls at a time. Lots of multiple retrieves. Made the leash longer and put a float on it. Yes I threw it and slipped of my hand. Thankfully hot day. It does not require PERFECT picks up balls easily. It IS a great and effective retriever, even got balls in mucky bottoms.

Great review. Like a lot of products these days it doesn't work but it does sell, and that's it's real job. Also you can run the strap through that small loop and then put your arm through. You can use the strap now to measure your drives 11 times the distance = whoop whoop.

this looks like someone saw the disc golf 'golden retriever' which is actually very effective at retrieving discs and tried to copy it for golf balls. I think part of the problem is the 'Y' end of the strap needs to be more like in the picture so the sled can scrape the bottom better.

Randy, great vlog! Hook the retriever to the drone and drag all of the Beverly's Hills' pond (and pray it doesn't get stuck to something)! Seriously, though, I think the retriever would work better with a man-made lake that's lined, so that the lake bottom is smooth and covered mostly with just moss.

Take 2 3/8” rods and bend them into the same configuration as the ball retriever. One rod is the center rod and you tie the retrieval rope to it - the second rod is bend into a oval shape and tied to the center rod at the corners and catches the balls as it is pulled through the water. I have gotten up to 8 balls in one throw...but in weed less lakes with a sand mud bottom. Good fishing....
