    At last -- an intelligent, clued-up interviewer! Carpenter actually seems to enjoy the process, and we get a glimpse into the mindset of a truly brilliant film director. Mission accomplished.

      William R I noticed he was enjoying the interview as well. You can tell when he’s annoyed in interviews. When he’s tired of the same questions from people who really don’t know his history. It’s fun to watch him answering questions he respects.

    This man is a legend!! Not too many filmmakers have half the ability and talent of this guy.

      David Imrie Plus, he's just a dude. So down to Earth. You know?

    • @davidimrie7297
      @davidimrie7297 9 лет назад +1

      Amdy, yes, he is so down to earth and very, very humble. I am a true fan of this man ever since Halloween

    • @arupian666
      @arupian666 8 лет назад +1

      +David Imrie Agreed... and it's easy to forget, with all the copycat and rip offs and remakes of what he did with Halloween, that he was just winging that mutha, defining a genre... supremely creative.... and yeah, I agree with the other posters, just an all round down to earth bonafide genius. John Carpenter and Wes Craven. I hold them both in equally high esteem. R.I.P. Wes...

    • @davidimrie7297
      @davidimrie7297 8 лет назад +1

      +arupian666 I like that. He was winging that mutha. But he created a classic film and the man definitely has a firm grasp on the genre.

      His mind is always on the move, too. He's one of those rare birds who can entertain with great story. Every campfire needs a John Carpenter.

    I grew up watching John Carpenter's movies on Home Video. His films mean so much to me, especially Escape From New York and The Thing, Big Trouble In Little China and They Live. His music is amazing too, such a great composer and Master of the synthesizer. Great interview! 👌📽

    My all time favorite director. The feel, the atmosphere of his films is unmatched. Halloween, Assault On Precinct 13, The Fog, The Thing, They Live, Big Trouble In Little China, EFNY/LA, Into The Mouth Of Madness, Vampires, Christine etc .......what a resume ! his films are very addictive.
    I also noticed he has a ton of "UFO" books in the background. Can't say I'm extremely surprised lol

    • @TheDreamer452

      Zombie Squad would have loved a ufo movie by him.. like war of the worlds or something but The Thing and They Live were great

    It's interesting to see John's reading material. Carl Sagan! Now I have something to talk about if I ever bump into him other than..."Uhhh....I loved Halloween."

      no, he knows...he is one "of them", installed as a predictive programmer by his wife (he related to her during the shooting of They Live), a hardcore Great Reset , climate change , Agenda 201 , NWO etc propaganda fetishist. Her comic books are filled with an unbelievable amount of illuminati symbolism , and NWO propaganda . I wonder why nobody noticed this
