Sushant is so lucky to have a family who stood by her when it mattered the most. Education & values imparted in childhood, made her this resilient & incredible human being. A lot of LGBTQ+ people in India belonging to poor backgrounds who don't have the privilege of education & strong parental backing are condemned to a life of misery begging on traffic signals or forced into prostitution. It's our fault as a society for not recognising & legitimising differences among us. Sadly our school education teaches next to nothing when it comes to sexuality & gender depriving most Indian kids a scientific understanding of these vital aspects of a biological lifeform. Our unscientific & irrational beliefs have made lives of these beautiful people despicable for thousands of years. It's time we atone for our mistakes & give them their due stake in the society.
