Such a beautiful message. The way Tej handled themself during the meeting is so admirable. Always putting the company's needs in front of their emotions. Like we could see they were having a panic attack but they still held it together for the company and went on. Hope I get a boss like them in future. ✨

I recently cut my hair short (pixie cut to be specific) and one of my best friends said that I look like a 'gay'. She meant it as an insult. I took that as a compliment. The protagonist reminded me of her. She isn't a bad person, just ignorant. I hope someday she starts accepting things. I grew homophobic, it is when I educated myself I realised my mistake and corrected it. I hope she realises it too. PS: HAPPY PRIDE MONTH. 🌈
Yes even me and my bestie had the conversation on same topic abt how we made use of being "Gay" as an insult but now we do realize how stupid , wrong and hurtful it can be and moreover saying that we were young is no excuse .Well what i want to say that younger kids should be taught that being gay/lesbian/etc. is totally normal so that they don't make the same mistakes as we did.
My parents never taught me this , when I came across this on the internet it was very very new to me . Later, I got to know that my parents too didn't know about it , they couldn't teach me about it ... But I am. And I'm glad to be in a world where many of us are accepting this , the more we accept others in the world , the more we accept ourselves is what I think .
It's ok not to know but the fact that you care and are showing effort and willing to learn with an open mind is a change big enough I wish there were more people like you accepting the community and trying to understand better.
@Ggh Bhg and...? If you follow a religion and it's against it and thus you feel it's wrong and wish to follow as your religion says, go for it! Dont don't stick your religion in other people faces! And also for people who are Christian, idk what exactly the Bible says but it's totally up to you to follow some thing or not.
Your parents likely did not know. The usage of pronouns like "they/them" like shown in this video did not exist then. They can't be top of every new society development.
Yesterday, I was thinking how to interact or talk with 'them' if they were in my office place and NETFLIX did it. Personally I want to know and understand about this whole community.
I came out as gay to my friends as soon as the Indian court decriminalized Section 377. At that time some friends accepted me and encouraged me but some didn't. One of the people who didn't encourage me was my close friend. Even though she accepted me for being gay but she didn't support me for being gay she was just standing neutral. She was even embarrassed to say to other friends of hers that I am gay but she didn't ruin our friendship because of me being gay. Today she is working for a counseling company and she did webinars about LGBTQ+ people and started creating awareness about the LGBTQ+ community. I am so proud of her and she started seeing the world from different perspectives. I am hoping one day everyone will start accepting the LGBTQ+ community for who they are.
this 8 min video is enough to educate people on LGBTQIA+ rights. also it’s really better and appreciative to learn about things rather than commenting when you’re not even aware about them. great job done Netflix.
My younger brother went through the phase of calling people "meetha" and "chakka" as an insult. I'm glad that I let him know what he was doing wrong, he doesn't do it now and is generally more respectful towards everyone (sometimes he does mess up a little, but he's learning). Let's try and educate ourselves on our own and help others to get rid of these derogatory beliefs :)
every thing will happen discrimination on gender , race wll end but on caste it will not because elections are done basis on caste thats sad reality about or system
It’s a wonderful effort. It is good that we are rising way above “Kantaben” and “Tanan tanan yaiee”. People from LGBT community are hardly shown to be empowered, especially in Indian shows/ films. Good to see some change.
@Life Of Purpose There are so many things that are out of context in your comment? Not sure why America is being referenced here. By America do you mean US as a country or entire continent? Just FYI, not just US, but UK, Canada, most of the Western European countries, Nepal, and so many more countries have become more inclusive towards LGBT community. In what way is Homonationalism expressed in this video? I’m not sure if that’s happening. If it is, then that’s a different topic altogether. Could you clarify on what do you mean by “gaeye”? May be it was a typo but just to let you know homosexuals are in general called “Gays”. Also, what do you mean by “normal” straight people? Are you trying to say that gays are abnormal? This video is trying to convey ignorant folks about how gays can be as empowered as straight people.
It's so wonderful to see someone coming out of their shell to learn effectively. Also, everyone's expression matters, stop putting banners to defend your point of view. Talents and leadership can come from anywhere. Doesn't matter where one comes from or who they are as an individual. It's high time we understand that.
Did this girl comment “guys can you comment somewhere else?” (And then deleted her comment I think.) Now imagine if I say to trans people. “Guys take your opinions somewhere else.” Won’t I be labelled a transphobic? But when someone says the equivalent to me, then it’s ok? Peak liberalism 😆😆
