the trauma that Ira suffered on her personal level is magnified on a colossal scale because of American imperialism and militarism. Murthy needs to evolve and develop a spine to denounce US imperialism and violence by the US capitalist class.

The highlight is Amir realising his own mistakes in terms of parenting duties. He realised it on time is also a big achievement. He was self consumed while making ends meet and got carried away but to even reach to self realisation and accepting own short comings and ready to fix it is progressive steps. Children need their parents at every stage of their growing up and their relationship with parents indirectly/directly affects children's future relationship with the whole world they enter into.

I loved the way Ira gave message to the parents. For many people, their relationship with parents is one the major cause of mental health issues. But the way she did not vilify, instead empathise with the parents as they're also human beings who are constantly learning and unlearning shows how much of an emotionally intelligent person she is.

I want to commend this video that brought a remarkable father-daughter duo to the table to discuss one of the most critical yet often overlooked topics: mental health. This conversation serves as a lighthouse for families-especially parents and children-who may be silently navigating the stormy seas of mental health struggles, unsure of how to seek help or even acknowledge the issue.
Mental health is often like the roots of a tree-hidden from sight but absolutely essential for growth and stability. Many overlook its importance, thinking it’s secondary, but just as a tree with weak roots cannot flourish, a good life cannot thrive without a healthy mind. Discussions like these plant seeds of awareness, breaking the silence and stigma surrounding mental health.
For families who might be struggling, this dialogue offers a powerful reminder: addressing mental health is not optional-it’s vital. A sound mind brings balance to the body, and together they pave the way for a fulfilling life.
Thank you all for doing this! Aamir, Ira, and Vivek-hats off to you!
And last but not least: people unnecessarily abuse others while sitting at home like cowards. I’m mentioning this because someone was abusing me just for commenting on a video that carried such a constructive and positive message about life. If you don’t like someone’s comment, don’t like it-but don’t resort to abuse. That speaks volumes about your upbringing. Have the courage to think and write with dignity!

    Points to be learned here-
1)sleep timely and as much u need, eat healthy , take sunrays.
    2)any form of physical activity.
3)track above 3things and see what is going wrong n needs improvement.
    4)social connections..of any form.. meet people/friends n family..
5)be consistent as often as possible rather perfection.
    6)take help whenever u need .
Lastly don't b ashamed if your child is struggling from mental health and don't judge parents if they aren't able to b there for you cos they are also not trained..

Thankful and grateful to Vivek, Ira, Aamir and team Netflix for this. One of the biggest causes of mental health issues is lack of freedom of expression and authenticity apart from a physiology or genetic reason. Also, there is a still long way to go to spread awareness and education about it. Hope there will be a day where walk-in mental health clinics are easily available and affordable.

So good to see Amir and Ira talk about it openly. But at the same time we have so less good therapists in India. So just like we are open about trying a second or third opinion when we are not satisfied with doctors dealing with our bodily issues, we should have that same mindset towards our mental health physicians. Also, first step we all should know the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist/therapist.

Those special, deep, meaningful words from Dr Vivek Murthy, about how people during the last few days of their respective life, never spoke of material wealth but the respect & love they have given & received from their loved ones, the time they have spent together. Reminds me of how my ailing hospitalised father, made my mother call me specially to communicate those three magical words 'I Love You', indicating my father's emotions & concern towards me. Which has lingered on, event past his fatal untimely demise in the form of blessings. Guess a father daughter relation are made of these. Some of his movies were of high risk in terms of money too only daring person could do it that's Aamir Khan Sir! And he did it & the audience liked it & the movie became successful. His dedication is 100%. In a funny way I would like to say that he eats cinema, he talks cinema, he walks Cinema, he sleeps cinema, he wake up cinema that's why his family may be didn't like it got disappointed & the problem arises in the family. Bollywood so far has not seen his dedication & his contribution to the Hindi cinema & working for the social cause he is worth to be honoured in a huge way. From me I highly salute him & honour him for his dedication & so many movies to learn. 🙏🙏🙏 I watch movies not just to enjoy but to learn & to get inspired in some way. I don't mean other actors are not dedicated or don't do good movies but when I see Aamir Khan he is not only for money if he was so much hungry for money to be the richest actor he could have taken any ads that's not good for health to the audience, he could have sign as many as movies to earn much more gone for the quantity but he try his best to choose quality though as sometimes fail but he tried to learn from the failure. His dedication to the movie oh my God How he risked his life for the role in Dangal & he is smart too at first He did a role of an old father with big belly after that he had to loose his weight for the 1st starting phase of the movie maybe 20 minutes role as a young wrestler he went to the US did trekking, cycling, dieting right. I don't think who else can do it I don't think anybody can do it but he did it to bring perfection to the movie to offer an audience to feel realistic he is amazing. His 3i movie how convincingly played a young age role in Mangal Pandey he took so long years to grow his real beard & moustache to see real, Ghajini how he hit the gym and made a body so many movies to give an example. He was born for Hindi Cinema to offer entertainment and meaningful cinema to the audience. What I get from him or anybody writing all these good things for him or appreciating him as an honest audience I think he should be honoured huge by Indian Cinema asap he truly deserves. As I was always wishing Lionel Messi to at least win a world cup trophy because he achieved almost all trophies left one trophy that is World cup trophy fortunately he won. I am happy for him because he deserves. Aamir Khan too deserves a huge honour. Finger cross🤞
