Parinda is surely one of the finest films ever made in India. It's a masterpiece of Indian Cinema, which should not be only limited to be given a cult classic status, but it deserves much more than that, bcoz of absolutely magical direction, brilliant screenplay, perfect editing, superb cinematography,hard-hitting dialogues with power-packed performances, and the fact which is most striking is immaculate sound effect which was something new for the movies made in that era, and which actually started a trend to give the movie a seriously realistic effect. So,basically Parinda was a complete package and probably one of the first movies which gave equal weightage to both the commercial and parallel aspect of cinema.

I wish this was longer! So entertaining, and so much to learn! Wish Jackie could speak more on the last scene of "Parinda". But I guess things like great acting cannot be explained, or analyzed! It happens in the moment. Jackie Shroff was so powerful in the climax.

I salute you Mr. Vinod n all ur team 🙏

Parinda is the kind of movie you would believe its made in today's day and age and its very hard to fathom that it was a 1989 film. More than the performances it was the cinematography and background score that made the film stand out.

Absolutely, the true standout performer in Parinda was Nana Patekar, whose commanding presence and powerful performance overshadowed the entire star cast. Despite this, his contribution remains underappreciated, highlighting either the hypocrisy or arrogance of those who fail to acknowledge his brilliance. Nana Patekar's absence would render any tribute incomplete. Moreover, the emergence of real, impactful actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Manoj Bajpayee owes a great deal to the path paved by Nana Patekar's remarkable success. Audiences continue to crave performers of his caliber and authenticity

Few things warm heart more than seeing the company of Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Shekhar Kapur, the early Subhash Ghai.
The 80s' hindi cinema was and is unnecessarily called the worst of the decades. They were mainstream, they were such stars but they were so delightful to see on screen. Maybe the fringe of the mainstream. Very, very likeable. They made such solid, believable, mainstream dramas. Characters could be seen for who they were, and one didn't have to worry about the fucking subtexts, thematic extrapolations.
Unlike the shitty, pretentious mainstream in the fringe today that includes the man interviewing Vidhu, Anil, and Jackie in this video!

When I saw the movie I also thought that it was a dream sequence🤣 I mean at that time specially when three superstar were there in a movie you don't expect sad endings in 80s and 90s ......I thought that it was a comercial movie like ram lakhan and I was watching it today for first time to see just nana patekar acting I had no clue about the movie.....but it was really a fantastic movie ...loved it
