@@CS2K23 Contrary to popular belief, RGV's impact on Bollywood was not transformational. The 80s belonged to iconic figures like Amitabh Bachchan and the dynamic writer duo, Salim-Javed. Moving into the 90s, Shahrukh Khan, Karan Johar, and Yash Chopra took the helm, shaping the industry's trajectory. As the new millennium dawned, it was Aamir Khan who influenced a generation of filmmakers.
While RGV's film "Satya" garnered praise, it failed to incite a significant wave of gangster movies in Bollywood. Instead, it was the works of directors like Karan Johar and Aamir Khan that spawned a proliferation of films in similar genres.
The reality is that RGV did not single-handedly redefine Bollywood. The industry's evolution was a collective effort, driven by the extraordinary talents of Amitabh Bachchan, Salim-Javed, Shahrukh Khan, Karan Johar, and Aamir Khan. These visionaries left an indelible mark on the Hindi film industry, influencing the next generation of filmmakers in their own unique ways.

There are many, but the one that stands out (for me) with the most repeat value, is the entire scene at Kallu Mama's office after Chandar's death. The icing on the cake is Sandeep Chowta's haunting background score when Satya lands the idea of killing the commissioner. Still gives me the chills and goosebumps even after 25 years. 🤟🔥

Ram Gopal Varma, though successful in the Hindi film industry, may not have thrived as much if he had made movies in Malayalam. The rich craft and exceptional storytelling of Malayalam filmmakers have set a high standard in the industry. While filmmaking is subjective, the distinctiveness of Malayalam cinema presents a challenging landscape that might have overshadowed Varma's style and approach.

I watched Satya in December 2023 for the first time and was completely blown away by the cinematography, world-building, and storytelling of the film. It felt like watching a documentary or a hollywood-level cinematic recording of a sting operation. The characters were so real and relatable that I forgot about the actors' other films and accepted them as the characters of Satya. The dramatic orchestral music only heightened the appeal of the unfolding storyline. It was hard to believe that such a feat could be achieved in 1998. This movie is one of the finest masterpieces of Bollywood. It should be studied and taught in film schools. Hats off to its creators, cast, and crew members. And thanks a million to everyone involved in the making of this anniversary video! 💗🥰

We don't know who he is where he came from, no commentary given on his appearance, it just starts off a new person visits Bombay the city of dreams with no dreams. And best part is everyone else in the movie is also clueless about him like the audience - "Hai kya hai yeh Satya". RGV you are a cult of personality to create this cult classic. RGV's innovative camera work, gripping screenplay, and realistic depiction of Mumbai's underworld contributed to the film's success and its lasting impact on Indian cinema.

Saurabh Shukla as Kallu Mama: Saurabh Shukla played the role of Kallu Mama, a quirky and cunning character. His impeccable comic timing and portrayal of a gangster's right-hand man added an entertaining element to the film.

He had also clearly mentioned all his superhits are accidental and flops are intentional.
He's such a man with clarity who once told, a director is the only secondary artist in the making of a entire film. All others who contributed would be the primary artists. So it is the director who picks or takes what he wants from each of the artist and make it a film.
So now finally, there's no need of discovering that RGV is lucky or he is overrated etc...
