  • V'sign sent me a box of pens recently to review on the channel, so I'm going to sprinkle these four pens between other reviews. As always, I'll give my impressions and pros and cons on each pen, which all have a distinct personality to them. Today is the first in the group, the V'sign Forte.
Info on the pen can be found here (no affiliation): vsignpen.com/product/forte/
If you are in the US and want to purchase the pen, you can email V'sign directly and order the pen.

Its one of my daily beater. V'sign also have another pen with similar shape but different deisgn on cap, it's called "SB". The cap has nice filgree work on it and writes equally wet amd smooth. Bang for bucks.

Very nice pen and review, James. I find (mostly based on Jinhao) that a No 5 nib is quite as able to develop some character over weeks as a larger nib. Thanks as always!

Agreed, lots of great 5s out there. Jinhao makes some decent stub 5 nibs as well.

Jg3 is definitely the best fountain pen RUclipsr. He's charming and the videos are well made, he also looks just like my old science teacher.

I think the price is very reasonable for this pen. But, shipping from India can be expensive.
The other drawback to this is the nib options. They only offer Medium and Broad. Given how wide the Medium nib writes, it would be too broad for my handwriting.
I agree with you that my choice of nib size goes for the larger nibs like #6 or #8. As it keeps my hand further away from the paper. I do have smaller nib pens that are #5 or hooded and they do work well but I tend to hold the pen close to the nib and the larger nibs feel more comfortable to me.
I think I will opt for the Noodler's pen, perhaps the Ahab or some other model.
Thank you James for presenting a great review of this interesting pen and that you can eyedropper fill it which is a good option for me. Most converters just do not hold enough ink (the converter on the Jinhao 9019 and 9016 are the exceptions).

8:40 if you're getting that much colour saturation from Pelikan Königsblau, it's plenty wet, I think.

A mi también me hubiese gustado un plumín del número 6. Saludos

I think I would call the converter a vacuum converter rather than a push-pull converter. Nice review as always James.

The tiny nib in your caption looks ridiculous, but the overall design and quality look really nice, should de worth trying 😬

Good looking pen, but website only shows price in rupees and when checking out only lists India as billing address. Bummer

Definitely. I didn’t mention it, but I included the ability in the specifications.

I bought this quite a few years ago. For the price it should have a better convertor. I love it but in my experience the pen dries out very quickly.
