I just received my Strymon Ambient reverb yesterday. It is SOOO good! An absolutely great demo!! Thanks a ton! Gives me a lot of "starting points" in my discovery of this pedal.

I have both, they're great together. At first I had the assumption this would replace the Mercury 7, but they're very different in sound. And besides, stacking reverbs is so much fun.
The pedal has some very distinct and specific sounds. I like them (except the forte ones .... after all I am playing guitar and not strings), but I would be afraid to get bored of them quickly ..... opposed to a more generally usable reverb system.

WOW! The first ambience pedal that I did not think is a piece of stupidly expensive junk. Other such pedals demand you only play one note at a time and have a lunch break between each note. 😇
Every reverb can be set according to your idea of sound. So, if you need to play 320 notes in one second you can do it even with the most ambient reverb. You just have to be able to do it man.
Forte. Decay at 0. Mix at 10. Pre-delay at 0. Tone to taste. Mod at 7 or 8. Rotary? Not ambient, but shows the pedal's versatility.

Not all
Sound 2 is pretty much a synth.
I've used it as a synth substitute by maxing the mix, and especially for single notes it sounds very synth-like.

The Jet Revelation reverb looks and sounds nice in comparison. I think i would go for that before this one.
