Hello Perry. Can you make a video about a comparison with the bigsky Vs. Night sky?? They're both amazing machines, and I'm interested in both. I cannot make a choice with one to purchase for my music. I'm looking for the "wow factor" some lush ambient, with a lot of possibilities. Thanx for your advice. Ciao from the Netherlands
Awesome sounds! Do you or do you know anywhere I could download syx files to load into my Big Sky via Nixie software? I'm new to the Big Sky and having trouble tweaking the buttons to create sounds such as these. Any help greatly appreciated!
I am saying many thanks to you because you could fully realized the power and possibilities of device. I can see many tones are the same i looking for some time on the video.
Do you find the summing of both ins of the big sky to be a problem with for example, a ping pong style delay running before it? I’ve read it sums both left and right, then processes the reverb sound, then splits left and right out. Does this keep the ping pong delay in its true form?
Hi.. It's such a fantastic demo. Thank you. Amazing g ambient sounds that take you into a different world. Can you please tell me if this unit would work well with a cantini electric midi violin ?
Stick a Microphone up your rear end and the resulting sounds will be amazing through a bigsky. You can use ANYTHING with this pedal and it will sound great.
I'm not even halfway this vid and you've sold me on this pedal for sure. Heavenly sounds! I'll be using it with my bass and I hope I'm able to obtain achieve tones like this, albeit at a lower frequency of course. Sounds 6 and 7 were my favorite. Does it take a while to build a nice pad sound like that or is it fairly straightforward?
Looking forward to doing the same with my bass........trying to experiment with ambient soundscapes. Could you imagine what this would sound like with a 5 string (high C) bass?
@@robertf3668 I use the shimmer setting with just one octave down and a bit of pre delay. It sounds like a keyboard is accompanying me. I absolutely love it, but the effect is most noticeable on the higher notes on the G string. Lower notes just sound muddy. I can imagine a 5 string with C would be superb.
@@marshalbass7098 Thanks, thinking seriously about getting Big Sky(it's kind of pricey); I'm sure it is still can produce some great effects for bass......just maybe not so much on the E
@@robertf3668 with some bright new strings the sound of the big sky is pretty defined on all the strings, but with old dead strings it takes on a more subtle but smooth character and is harder to hear on lower notes. I play with dead strings and can get some ghostly haunting tones though. I was disappointed that the choral setting is basically unusable. It sounds very harsh on any setting I try. It's too bad because it sounds pretty cool otherwise. It warns you in the manual that it can have too much "resonance" on certain settings, which I found to be true on all settings. In some ways I'm impressed with the pedal, and other ways disappointed. Essentially I paid $475 to have a -1 octave shimmer reverb, because that's really the only setting I use. If I played slower ambient stuff I could use the swell and other settings. But I play moderate to fast. I was really looking forward to the cloud setting but I cant use it. It needs time to build, and if you play fast it's really just gets muddy. The hall is ok but I feel like it could be smoother. I'd love to try some other brands like the Meris mercury 7 or Nuenaber wet. I'll probably never get rid of the big sky, unless I can find something cheaper that does a -1 octave shimmer as nicely.
I traded my big sky for the night sky. Now after having the night sky, I kind of want my big sky back lol. I’m having a hard time finding a Reverb sound that I like with the night sky. The vongon ultrasheer there’s another one that’s really nice.
