- Ginger Rogers wasn’t her real name and this Ginger Lager isn’t a real lager! This may be the perfect hair of the dog, ginger soothes the stomach and the little bit of alcohol mitigates the alcohol withdrawal without giving you a hangover tomorrow!
If you need a break from brewing, here’s a lovely video of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire dancing: • Fred Astaire & Ginger ...

Holy crap that little mobile grinding cart is genius. All these other channels free handing it with a board and having to hold the drill, that cart looks like it makes it a breeze and you can do other preparations while it grinds.
I approve of this beer.
That zester is awesome!!
The brewery Dux de luxe in New Zealand did a ginger lager called Ginger Tom. Was amazing. Hot and spicy. I believe it was root ginger, honey and lemon
Look forward to the tasting on this one. I am curious how much of the ginger and lime comes through.
Looks like it’s a super interesting brew excited to see the results 👍🍻
This beer sounds delicious!🍻
That sounds like it’s gonna be very delicious Yum!
I have 2 ginger ales fermenting right now. Both will be over 10% no grain brews, 500 g of ginger and 4 lime zest in a 6 liter batch. Crap will get you ragingly drunk and make you want to fight a mofo or 2, or it will strip paint. Not for wimps
Interested to see how this one turns out!
Have you ever tried making braggots? There are so many variations you could play with I've only ever made rather clumsy versions using small amounts of chocolate malt and things like heather to bitter it but would love to see your take on a braggot 🍻
As I'm based in the UK and the company has no distribution, I have been trying to recreate Shorts Mule Beer for a while now. hoping your brew might have the answers I've been looking for
I am curious as to why you didn't peel the ginger and if it would make a difference?
I brewed a rye ale with ginger and limes but used Taiheke hops and it turn out amazing. I did notice that the ginger flavor started to fade after about a week in the keg. Any thoughts on how to keep the ginger flavor around?
Twenty years of bar experience here. If you want to keep the ginger kick (it's not necessarily the flavor that fades, it's the spice component of it), you can add a pinch of Cayenne. It's how I've been balancing my ginger syrups & ginger beers
Do you use yeast Nutrient?
Seems like a lot of ginger
