  • I love brewing with kits! It's like cooking with a meal kit, no measuring just fun! Links to the recipe, kit, & equipment below
Moonraker brewing is an absolute favorite amongst our staff members here in California. Moonraker is located in Auburn, CA and prides themselves on sustainability and quality.
Space Nectar overflows with flavors of peach, apricot and orange sherbet. Over half of the hop bill is comprised of Cryo Hops® which lend a clean, pungent aroma to this absolute juice bomb. A healthy helping of pale wheat malt and flaked wheat provide the perfect amount of fuzz to complement the bright notes of stone fruit.

The dead space between your screen and heating element should be part of your equipment profile in Brewfather if you still use that app. Thanks for the videos!

The Clawhammer basket is essentially a rigid brew bag, so dead space is zero in an BIAB system.

@@SteveBenson oh ok in my grain father g30 I have about 1 gal dead space from the heater to the bottom of the basket because of the pump. I figured the claw hammer had a similar design.

@@NickDrone No, it's 100% fine mesh, so it basically acts as a BIAB.

Try messing with the mill gap a very small amount. I’ve also had issues with mills over the years but eventually you’ll find the perfect spot

Hey Sarah, great content. I always enjoy watching your brew sessions. Out of curiosity, have you looked into what your water chemistry is in SoCal, is it soft or hard water? I have been reading a lot about water chemistry and for IPAs, lagers, and other light beers I have seen a lot of suggestion for lowering your pH or using a 5.2 buffer. Do you ever mess with your pH or water chemistry? Thanks!

Not a fan of putting a magnet into my wort unless it is ceramic coated. Put the magnet in a well-sealed plastic bag first, then tie it into the bag.
