Chamuekpet Hapalang was a Thai fighter known for his relentless clinch game as well as his ability to use his knee strikes from a distance while taking very little damage. His knee fighting expertise earned him the nickname "Computer Knee Striker", such was his clinical approach in this area of Muay Thai.
Chamuekpet was one of the most successful nak muays of all time, winning Lumpinee and Rajadamnern titles in several weight classes in addition to dominating the international scene, particularly in Japan. He was an extremely adaptable fighter and had no discernible weaknesses, winning matches with punches, knees and kicks..
In my opinion, Chamuekpet was the most well-rounded fighter in history.
Notable victories: Sangtiennoi Sor Rungroj (x3), Chaidet Kiatcharnsingh, Oley Kiatoneway, Muangfahlek Kiatvichian, Pepsi Piyapan, Samransak Muangsurin, Takehiro Murahama, Prabseuk Sitsantad and Felipe Garcia.

This guy was awesome. He could do anything, such a well-rounded fighter.

Yes, it's true, he won the Lumpini pinweight(46kg) championship match against Samart in 1980. But i'm not sure that was Samart primetime or not.(They both 18 years old at that time)
@@user-hb4hs5vu4u Samart started to fight at Lumpini stadium at 17 years old. And His first belt was that Lumpini pinweigth when he was 18, 5 months before he lost the belt to Chamuekpet. ( it seemed to be an early time both of their career.) Then Samart turn to boxing when he was 21. I guess his prime time in muaythai might be this 1-2 years before he turn to boxing. Coz it hard to find him an opponent so his had to switch to boxing.
His another primetime was when he 26 after a come back to muaythai again and had an unbeatable records and won the best muaythai award that years.

Why are there such clearly defined styles? Why not a fighter with NO style (EVERY style)? An all-around fighter who can fight at any range with ANY weapon (knees, elbows, kicks, punches, and throws/clinches?
