Certainly caught my attention when I had my visit in 2021 but honestly from the rides that got announced to be retired, kingda ka and twister were the two that I saw people say they'd miss the most
These are great flat rides. I was surprised when US parks started installing them. Sucks to see them now being removed. They also removed the one from my local park Darien Lake
As you were surprised when U.S. parks started installing, I was just as shocked seeing this one for the first time in person, not knowing it was there. They're really cool to spectate and to ride! But U.S wise, they're pretty much non-existent
So sad that the top spin has lost its way. They used to be a staple of theme parks, but now there are barely any original versions left. At least Alton Towers is getting a new one soon.
I've been on Kingda Ka twice in 2005 and 2007 I haven't been on it since. it's closed and I didn't care. I got the name of this ride wrong but now I know what it is I'm actually pretty devastated about this now. It was one of my favorite rides to watch I had the privilege of going on in many many times too. but now this really made me sad to know it is going to be gone. The other time I got sad was when they got rid of Rolling Thunder.
Sad to see such classics and favorites leave the park. Although I've only been to this park one time three years ago and it's sad some things I got to see and experience, won't be there when I return again.
I had the opportunity to ride this one at Six Flags (well the one close to Boston or Rhode Island, crazy I don't remember the name of that one). Yes, it was a while ago, but I remember it like yesterday. That was one wild ride and so glad I did it. Thank you for the history.
They had its exact copy of this ride with the same name at Six Flags fiesta, Texas before they closed it down and opened Joker Carnival of chaos in its place.
Do ya mean the last of the original models? I only ask because we have Talocan at Phantasialand and we’re gonna be getting Project Ocean at Alton Towers next year
This is my all time favorite flat ride. Texas Twister at Geauga Lake, and the super sized, indoor Tomb Raider at Kimgs Island are the only 2 I rode though.
What park, ride, show or attraction should we Uncover next?
@@ThemeParksUncovered skyline attractions, or the Georgia cyclone
@KingH3999 noted! 📝coming soonish actually! 🫡
I've been on that ride countless times I think I've gone on it almost every time we pass it

Loved this thing💛
Thanks for such a great history of it. So glad I was able to get on this year before it got the axe. Top Spins are so underrated.
Glad you enjoyed this documentary! Top spins are very underrated and are definitely fun to experience and honestly watch in person too
This was the parks best flat ride in my opinion
💯

Yeah it's really unfortunate. They're doing alright in the UK and some other countries but they're pretty much extinct in the U.S.

It was at New England and it was also twister
Glad you enjoyed the video, Vicki! Yeah these rides are seriously crazy and quite the experience! 😱
The new lights were gorgeous

I honestly didn't know fiesta texas had one but having been to that park and knowing where joker is, that would've been an awesome location
Great video as usual. Always learning something new. ✊🏾
Thanks brotha! Much love as always!
@ Np at all
😎
Texas Twister at Geauga Lake/Six Flags ohio/Six flags worlds of adventure was the best one i ever rode.
So I've heard! Sucks that these are becoming more and more extinct
AHEM.....Twixter
🤣 right! Twixter indeed!
I will never ever forgive them
Smh it's truly sad
This is why US theme parks keep screwing HUSS Top Spins.
Absolutely the truth. I remember honestly being shocked when I saw this ride in person 3 years ago...cause there's not many in the U.S.
Used to LOVE Texas Twister at Geauga Lake. Probably my favorite flat ride ever.
Top Spins need to make a huge resurgence! But yeah I've heard Texas Twister was awesome!

✊🏽
And the last HUSS Top Spin is retired 😐
Do ya mean the last of the original models? I only ask because we have Talocan at Phantasialand and we’re gonna be getting Project Ocean at Alton Towers next year
The only one now in America is the Top Spin 2 in Long Island
This is my all time favorite flat ride. Texas Twister at Geauga Lake, and the super sized, indoor Tomb Raider at Kimgs Island are the only 2 I rode though.
We still have one in Brazil! Thank god
The park will desperately need something as good or even better
I 200% agree
