The late Adam West said that Cesar Romero was always the consummate professional on set. Mr. Romero would often snooze in his chair off-set and when he was called to do a scene he would wake up, do the scene perfectly (no retakes ever needed), and then go back and doze off again. The cast and crew of Batman loved working with him as he was gracious and kind to everyone, especially the stunt people who often were at serious risk of injury
I remember how he and Burgess Meredith talked about how in those days you wouldn't have many takes. You had to get it pretty fast. Good thing they had such professionals working for them who could pull that off.
