I so agree with you whenever you used the Kardashian girls as an example of cheap look. Not sure why they got so famous with no talent, no taste like that.
They became famous from Kim’s porn video, what does that say??!! Disgusting, completely disgusting. Why they are still shown, I do not understand, and the longer they are shown the longer they will continue to horrify us.
Their dad (who passed away) was OJ Simpson’s first attorney…this brought them into the limelight. When he passed away the mom pursued a path to maintain their wealthy lifestyle. Definitely nothing to do with talent or even style 😢
I totally agree with you . I have seen people wearing shorts and t shirt but with a Prada bag to some formal occasion. Money truly does not bring class.
Mistake 1 - or sometimes people just like logos. I have more respect for someone who wears a logo b/c they like it and that is their personality, than someone in shades of white, cream, beige, tan, brown, gray, black and blue trying to get the approval and earn the respect of people who don't like them or care about them.
Oh come on, people don't "like logos" for their aesthetic appeal, they like them because they're a signifier of how much money was spent on an item which is pretty much the epitome of tackiness. If course people are free to wear what they want, but logo clothing just tells the world "I spent a lot of money to provide free advertising for a brand!" so you can't get upset when people react to that negatively.
@@Alex-pk7rn Here's the thing though - there was a time when these brands with logos actually represented quality. I have belts from Gucci that are over 25 years old, and they still look impeccable. The craftsmanship from these brands are now sadly gone, and the current focus is only on the logo. Those items that are well crafted are now far more expensive than these 'logo' brands! We have traded flash for substance ... but it wasn't always that way!
I've been in both Rome and Paris and gotta say the styles are so vastly different but in both cities, people carry themselves with confidence which to me translates to elegance! I haven't been to Paris in years but when I was there it wasn't about flashing the brands. In Italy I would say they are louder but they are not flashy and they have class with confidence. I was in Rome last month and was in awe how well dressed a lot of working/business Italian women are. It's always easy to spot the tourists because they are more likely to flash all the large logos and brands. And yes, overdoing hair extensions and fillers (eg any reality tv show with "real housewives..." in the title) can cheapen the look.
You summed up perfectly in 15 mins. what it took me about 25 years to learn through many trials and errors. Everyone please study ballet for at least 3-6 months, beginner adult class- you will be amazed at the difference. Also sewing classes are cery helpful, even very basic sewing. 🙌🌟
Thank you for this info! I am guilty of bare nails - they are always manicured, but I retired as an Aesthetician and no nail polish was the rule! I keep forgetting that I can now polish them! And the posture... OMG, at 5'10", I have to work on that!
Great tips. I’m from the Netherlands and have lived in multiple big cities. Paris is one of them. Living in the US now and missing the understated elegance from Europe.
I like the look of my *hotdups* . My only complaint is that it's a little tight inside! But I'm still very happy with my purchase. It's a lot cheaper than the original and I can't tell the difference in any other aspects.
The blue tasseled kimono robe you’re wearing is absolutely stunning and so elegant. I’d love to buy one as a Christmas gift for my daughter-she’s sure to love it!😘
Can you do a video on loungewear? What women should be wearing at home. Is it ok to wear sweats and sweatshirt or is there a limit before it starts to look frumpy?
I think there is just no shortcut to a sense of style or "good taste". Casual can also look tasteful but it will only look so if it's thoughtfully styled and for that one needs to work on one's "visual palate", that is to watch good movies, inquire into photography and other visual arts, even architecture. This will teach you to discern patterns, textures, shades and evoke personal emotional connection rather than status signalling via brand logos and mimicking IG models who mostly reach the level of a "neutrals barbie" at most. Explore and polish your personal style, don't copy paste ♥
I think the entire world agrees the Kardashians are trash, please, I beg you, stop showing them as representatives of Americans, we are collectively nothing like them.
You are so right. I always feel like people around the world think all of America looks, dresses and acts like the Kardashians. It’s embarrassing and far from true.
Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe! What is the worst things that cheapen an outfit? Let me know in the comments ! xoxo Alice
Some people dress impeccably but they forget to smile and be nice.
Wear what pleases you, even if it's not to impress

So true. Agreed 💯
I live in a Kardashian free zone.
Their dad (who passed away) was OJ Simpson’s first attorney…this brought them into the limelight. When he passed away the mom pursued a path to maintain their wealthy lifestyle. Definitely nothing to do with talent or even style 😢
Those who control media have agendas; they have their reasons for who they push and promote 😦
I totally agree with you . I have seen people wearing shorts and t shirt but with a Prada bag to some formal occasion. Money truly does not bring class.
Some of those images actually made me gasp 😱
Great life tips. I want to teach my daughter early, especially good posture and elegant confidence.
As a side note, walking around with a lot of logos, not only makes one appear as trying too hard, but says to the unscrupulous, "Come mug me."

Oh, how I miss Rome and Paris. Haven’t visited both cities for 5 years.
I feel like at times, the “loudness” of Italians style can come off flashy, don’t you think?

Brilliant comment!
This helps with style?

Was a perfect list! I'd add also tacky overwhelming fragrances...
coming :)
This list includes some of my pet peeves that detract from the woman: obviously fake lashes, showing underwear.
Bonsoir Alice. D’accord sur tout, à part le vernis, je n’en porte pas, mes ongles sont coupés courts, c’est tout. Merci pour cette vidéo.
A very informative video. Thank you, Alice. May you have a Merry Christmas.
I love designer bags but I only carry crocheted bags I made and had lots of compliments
Great tips.

It is a fact that the big design houses target middle- and lower-class buyers. Those people are the ones wearing their designs.
The blue tasseled kimono robe you’re wearing is absolutely stunning and so elegant. I’d love to buy one as a Christmas gift for my daughter-she’s sure to love it!😘
Thank you. they are currently on sale and not expensive :)
Always great advice!
Alice, these are very good tips, especially for my fellow Americans! Also, I love your new hair color, looks very healthy. 😊

A very informative video.. Thank you Alice ❤️
I dont like logos too but the Coach Tabby is still very pretty even with the C on it.
Thanks for letting me know.
