I think a Mack is probably the safest bet. I would love to see them put in an intamin launched coaster but I doubt it for their next coaster. I think sometime in the next 5-8 years we will see a reimagined front gate with invertigo and congo river falls closing. That could be a likely spot for a new coaster
My family and i just got back from KI. My first time there since 2001. KI was amazing. For a Cedar Point die hard the change of scenery for my family was great. The next coaster needs to be a massive looper to replace Vortex. Either the tallest (250 ft + ) Wing or Dive coaster to round out Banshee. Invertigo is trash and needs to go and Flight of Fear is a completely different experience than any other looping coaster. I think a massive hyper wing with a straight 80-90° degree drop with 3800 - 4200 feet of track would be PHENOMENAL. BTW i repped my Beast of a Coaster tank on my trip as well!

I'm amused right now only because so many people think (or at least used to think) that Hangtime is a Dive Coaster when it's an Infinity coaster. The Smiler is better than Hangtime, but that's another conversation. King's Island's best option would be either 1: a Mach extreme spinner, 2: Intamin to beat Velocicoaster; 3: the world's tallest and longest RMC, which would allow King's Island to boast having four coasters with over a mile of track. I've been hoping for an Intamin Blitz ever since I heard Vortex was closing! A ground up RMC hybrid is my 2nd pick for that plot. I would also love to see a King Cobra themed B&M surf or an Extreme Spinner. Would rather see the Surf or Spinner make use of the Son of Beast station and the crazy terrain in that part of the park.

I don't have to think realistically as I am not a Cedar Fair executive but just musing about theoretical situations I would enjoy. The King Cobra Surf is very realistic as Cedar Fair builds more B&M's than anything else and are all about recreating park attractions of the past lately.

I also could also see Cedar Fair seeing how the new tilt coaster at Codaland does and maybe surprising us with that model. Kings island and Cedar point would both benefit from going with Intamin cedar fair would get a better price working with them on more than one parks contract. Something is love to see happen at KI. An RMC makeover of The Racer with a launch for each car and a bigger drop. Now that launches have really improved since Lightning Rod I think we need more of the uphill launches. I realize this will not likely happen. The cost to replace may be beyond the draw it would create. But that would be such a cool thing.
What if they hit up RMC and pitched an idea for New Son Of Beast? 218ft 90+ degree drop, over banked “Rose Bowl’, RMC’s “First ever vertical loop”. That would be insane.
Been seeing some hints about Son Of Beast. Yeah I know it's a long shot but with the theming on adventure express showing a lot of hints about Son Of Beast and what seems like a treasure map that has The Beast footprints looking like a queue line location it makes me wonder. Look for the lost cat reference on that map and match it up with Google earth.

An RMC to continue the legacy of KI being one of the premier parks for wooden rollercoasters would be a great idea. They could even pay homage to Son of Beast. However, everyone wants an Intamin launch coaster ever since Velocicoaster came out so it wouldn't surprise me that they added one.
Technically they already had a vertical lift with the Scooby's Ghoster Coaster (Caripro Batfyler suspended coaster), but that was an elevator lift rather than a continuous piece of track and chain that went up at 90°. That said, I loved your predictions, and I've been pretty much thinking the same for that space. Basically anything that honors Vortex with a bunch of quick inversions, so I'm really hoping for a Mack or Intamin. Or Gerstlauer if they don't want to spend the big money. Other than that, I'd love to see a B&M flyer, or the new stand-up, obviously honoring Firehawk and King Cobra. Those, and a ground-up RMC Son of Beast that's better than Steel Veangance. As much as I would love a wing or dive, I could live without seeing those anytime soon.
Definitely hope it's NOT a dive coaster. Those are one trick ponies. Personally think Valravn is too short and after the first drop (and only if you are in the first row), and the loop after the drop, that's all that ride has and it's NOT WORTH the wait. A spinning coaster as you said would be great as nothing is like that here on Ohio. Maybe getting something like Steel Curtain out here but more reliable!! And maybe finally saying adios to Invertigo. Great video as always!!

Kings Island won't get anything that overshadows the revamped Dragster. So a Mack multi-launch (NOT an XSC) is a pretty safe bet. That said, we know they can build top hats over 200 feet, and a triple launch coaster would be fantastic in the Vortex plot. I'd also expect the top hat to be placed next to Windseeker, not the Beast's lift hill. Why crowd out a legend in the park's skyline? Plus, this would allow riders to enter under an airtime hill along the final launch! Hope it gets a new double-inversion as iconic as Vortex's batwing, too.
I know it's an unpopular opinion but I love Maverick's trains. I seriously think they are the most comfortable seat in all of Cedar Point! Last time I rode it I was on the brake run and told my cousin I wished my car was that cofortable for the 4 hour drive home!

My wishlist for Kings Island #1 B&M Flying Coaster #2 Intamin LSM like Velocicoaster or Pantheon #3 B&M Wing Coaster #4 RMC Raptor or the new single rail racing coaster #5 Vekoma flying coaster like F.L.Y. at Phantasialand However I don’t think any of those will actually be built. Its more than likely going to be a Gerstlauer, or Mack. After Vortex being removed there’s a large gap now with inversions. You only have 3 coasters with inversions, Banshee, Flight of Fear, and Invertigo (which I see being removed along with Congo Falls in the future if and when they decide to completely revitalize the entrance). With Banshee having 7 inversions, and Invertigo along Flight of Fear each with 4 inversions. They could also decide to build something more friendly to families like what Dollywood just built with Big Bear Mountain. While it looks to be an amazing coaster it would be a little disappointing for us enthusiasts. Whatever they decide to build there’s no doubt they have a great opportunity to build something amazing.
It would be so awesome if they could get RMC to redo the Son of Beast. It would be especially cool to have that in the Vortex plot of land seeing how it's right next to the Beast

This was a very well put together video! Agree with everything you said in this video but I think you can't rule out RMC as a potential manufacturer of KI's next coaster... especially if we're looking at a 2026 opening.
Either the RMC Reborn Son of Beast or something even crazier, Mach Extreme spinner. Thoughts. I believe if Cedar Fair want to finally give King's Island there standout, then a Extreme Spinner make sence to me or a S&S 4 Dimension Coaster. Probably get one or the other. Both are controlled Spins and both would fit into both park line up at extreme rides. The real question is which would me a space savor for the Point? That would probably be the one that goes there. But both models would definitely be impactful Rides to the 3 largest attendance and money maker in the chain. And before Brandon said it, they work with Mack and S&S. Plus that leaves Carowinds there standout RMC in the Future. King's Island will probably not recieve a ride that top Steve since there both in Ohio. For Giggles, I could see the; Mach Extreme Spinner going to Cedar Point and Knott's Berry Farm S&S 4th Dimension Coaster going to King's Island and Canada's Wonderland And A Hyper RMC going to Carowinds. That 5 major investment Coasters that don't directly conflict with there surrounding. Knott's Berry Farm get the Extreme spinner since Magic Mountain has both a RMC and 4th Dimension Coaster. Cedar Point get a Extreme spinner since the 4th Dimension go to Canada Wonder and King's Island, different Extreme ride experiences and Carowinds get a massive RMC. Everyone in the top of Cedar Fair is happy
Great video! I really wish they would get the Intamin vertical launch coaster because it really does look like it fits perfect. It would honestly look so good in that area and make the park skyline even better.
My thoughts are this: I feel they may want that land to tie into the Coney Mall theme. They’ve really boosted that Coney Mall theme over the last 5 years...games, antique cars brought back to life, excellent food, plus wind seeker is all the way in the back corner. I’m not saying that the ride has to fit the “feel”, but I’ve always thought that Wind Seeker all the way in the corner is odd, especially if Vortex’s land would be permanently vacant. Surely they’ll use that land and tie it into Coney Mall...
I think what Cedar Fair is doing with some of their parks is really smart. They're making small additions and improving existing sections of parks so when more guests flock to that park for a larger addition, the park as a whole can make a stronger impression.
Since that area of the park is near two other wooden coasters, it would make senss to put another woody coaster their. Maybe another type of "son of beast", another record breaker... KI does woody coasters the best .
I would love to see a ground up RMC kinda like Arieforce One. They could even redo the front gate at the same time. Maybe do one that goes over then under the front gate using a raven-truss dive right by the front gate. The visuals of that would be spectacular.
Always fun to guess which park is getting what kind of coaster. Say the same for Canada's wonderland in 2025, our next big coaster. A Mack Spinner or the Infiniti would be great or a B&M wing or a surf coaster. So many possibilities, I'd love to ride the Beast.
I just wish Kings Island built their next new roller coaster last year. For one thing, it was their 50th anniversary last year so what better way to celebrate that occasion than by adding something big and exciting. Also, I am going back there next month and I always hate to see land clear and unused like that.
I think if they build anything it will be over by The Bat. That section of park is lacking attractions and they have the room to build outward into the trees.
IF (and if that's a very big IF) CF works with Intamin, I just can not see them going with a prototype and the headache that will come with a vertical launched lift. Thinking Velocicoaster, Pantheon, Gotham City style is more likely
I think 2025 is the next Kings Island coaster. There is rumors going around that King Kobra is coming back to KI with a surf coaster model like the one Sea World just got.
I've said for a while that I feel like a ride like Copperhead Strike would be a smart choice for KI. It would be different enough from Maverick, as well the park's other launched coasters. I'd be good with that. I'm not a fan of Gerstlauer Infinity coasters, so I wouldn't hope for that at any of the parks, personally.
A VIP area in Soak City is what is replacing Pipeline Paradise. I am predicting a coaster like Copperhead Strike in Vortex's plot of land in 2025 as a way to draw the popularity away from Flight of Fear to maybe get a reason like low ridership to remove it since it has extremely slow operations. Also Flight of Fear is beginning to become a maintainence nightmare
I’d say a B&M dive or a Mack multi launch. The dive coaster is a successful model, and Cedar Fair seems to be buying more. While Copperhead Strike one of Carowinds’ top attractions, and has proven itself
I wish they had a dive coaster but with all of the b&m’s in the park it’s highly unlikely. A launch coaster with a good amount of inversions would be great for the park
I predict an Intamin "VOLCANO" launched coaster that puts Kings Dominion's old one to shame! After all in both park's histories, Kings Dominion got the attraction first and Kings Island got it the following year! The initial launch out of the station would curve along the entire walkway where Vortex was before re-entering the straight up track complete with the fire at the top. Mountain is optional.
If they put a Mack extreme spinner in there, I will likely pass out. Time traveler is amazing and The Ride to Happiness Looks like one of the best rides on the planet. If Kings Island gets that, oh my goodness… I will be the happiest human being alive.
I've been saying this since like 5 years now: a VEKOMA LAUNCH COASTER would be the perfect fit. I could see a giant Top-Hat where the Peak of Vortex's Lifthill used to be. They could also include a Batwing in the layout at the same place where Vortex's Batwing used to be. It makes so much sense to me. The only thing holding this theory back though is that new Gen. Vekoma has not made it over into the US yet.
Personally, I would love to see an RMC ground-up or a Mack Multi-Launch (spinner or not). Of course, we’d all love to see something Intamin but I’m keeping my hopes low 😂

Mystic and the Beast are consistently in the Golden Ticket Awards wooden coasters top ten. Diamondback and Banshee were for years as well.

However I don’t think any of those will actually be built. Its more than likely going to be a Gerstlauer, or Mack. After Vortex being removed there’s a large gap now with inversions. You only have 3 coasters with inversions, Banshee, Flight of Fear, and Invertigo (which I see being removed along with Congo Falls in the future if and when they decide to completely revitalize the entrance). With Banshee having 7 inversions, and Invertigo along Flight of Fear each with 4 inversions. They could also decide to build something more friendly to families like what Dollywood just built with Big Bear Mountain. While it looks to be an amazing coaster it would be a little disappointing for us enthusiasts. Whatever they decide to build there’s no doubt they have a great opportunity to build something amazing.

This was a very well put together video! Agree with everything you said in this video but I think you can't rule out RMC as a potential manufacturer of KI's next coaster... especially if we're looking at a 2026 opening.
Launched wing coaster good be a good fit too and it could have a batwing inversion as an ode to Demon.

Either the RMC Reborn Son of Beast or something even crazier, Mach Extreme spinner.
Thoughts. I believe if Cedar Fair want to finally give King's Island there standout, then a Extreme Spinner make sence to me or a S&S 4 Dimension Coaster. Probably get one or the other. Both are controlled Spins and both would fit into both park line up at extreme rides. The real question is which would me a space savor for the Point? That would probably be the one that goes there. But both models would definitely be impactful Rides to the 3 largest attendance and money maker in the chain.
And before Brandon said it, they work with Mack and S&S. Plus that leaves Carowinds there standout RMC in the Future. King's Island will probably not recieve a ride that top Steve since there both in Ohio.
For Giggles, I could see the;
Mach Extreme Spinner going to Cedar Point and Knott's Berry Farm
S&S 4th Dimension Coaster going to King's Island and Canada's Wonderland
And A Hyper RMC going to Carowinds.
That 5 major investment Coasters that don't directly conflict with there surrounding.
Knott's Berry Farm get the Extreme spinner since Magic Mountain has both a RMC and 4th Dimension Coaster.
Cedar Point get a Extreme spinner since the 4th Dimension go to Canada Wonder and King's Island, different Extreme ride experiences and Carowinds get a massive RMC. Everyone in the top of Cedar Fair is happy
Great video! I really wish they would get the Intamin vertical launch coaster because it really does look like it fits perfect. It would honestly look so good in that area and make the park skyline even better.

Been saying that a Mack extreme spinner would fit perfectly in the old Vortex plot. But an Intamin blitz would honestly maybe even be better.
My thoughts are this: I feel they may want that land to tie into the Coney Mall theme. They’ve really boosted that Coney Mall theme over the last 5 years...games, antique cars brought back to life, excellent food, plus wind seeker is all the way in the back corner. I’m not saying that the ride has to fit the “feel”, but I’ve always thought that Wind Seeker all the way in the corner is odd, especially if Vortex’s land would be permanently vacant. Surely they’ll use that land and tie it into Coney Mall...
I think what Cedar Fair is doing with some of their parks is really smart. They're making small additions and improving existing sections of parks so when more guests flock to that park for a larger addition, the park as a whole can make a stronger impression.
Since that area of the park is near two other wooden coasters, it would make senss to put another woody coaster their. Maybe another type of "son of beast", another record breaker... KI does woody coasters the best .
Could you imagine if they took the B & M Surf Coaster model and “brought back” King Cobra?

I would love to see a ground up RMC kinda like Arieforce One. They could even redo the front gate at the same time. Maybe do one that goes over then under the front gate using a raven-truss dive right by the front gate. The visuals of that would be spectacular.

Always fun to guess which park is getting what kind of coaster. Say the same for Canada's wonderland in 2025, our next big coaster. A Mack Spinner or the Infiniti would be great or a B&M wing or a surf coaster. So many possibilities, I'd love to ride the Beast.

I just wish Kings Island built their next new roller coaster last year. For one thing, it was their 50th anniversary last year so what better way to celebrate that occasion than by adding something big and exciting. Also, I am going back there next month and I always hate to see land clear and unused like that.

I think if they build anything it will be over by The Bat. That section of park is lacking attractions and they have the room to build outward into the trees.

I think 2025 is the next Kings Island coaster. There is rumors going around that King Kobra is coming back to KI with a surf coaster model like the one Sea World just got.

I've said for a while that I feel like a ride like Copperhead Strike would be a smart choice for KI. It would be different enough from Maverick, as well the park's other launched coasters. I'd be good with that. I'm not a fan of Gerstlauer Infinity coasters, so I wouldn't hope for that at any of the parks, personally.
A VIP area in Soak City is what is replacing Pipeline Paradise. I am predicting a coaster like Copperhead Strike in Vortex's plot of land in 2025 as a way to draw the popularity away from Flight of Fear to maybe get a reason like low ridership to remove it since it has extremely slow operations. Also Flight of Fear is beginning to become a maintainence nightmare
I’d say a B&M dive or a Mack multi launch. The dive coaster is a successful model, and Cedar Fair seems to be buying more. While Copperhead Strike one of Carowinds’ top attractions, and has proven itself
I wish they had a dive coaster but with all of the b&m’s in the park it’s highly unlikely. A launch coaster with a good amount of inversions would be great for the park

I predict an Intamin "VOLCANO" launched coaster that puts Kings Dominion's old one to shame! After all in both park's histories, Kings Dominion got the attraction first and Kings Island got it the following year! The initial launch out of the station would curve along the entire walkway where Vortex was before re-entering the straight up track complete with the fire at the top. Mountain is optional.
I'd love it if they just rebuilt Vortex.

If they put a Mack extreme spinner in there, I will likely pass out. Time traveler is amazing and The Ride to Happiness Looks like one of the best rides on the planet. If Kings Island gets that, oh my goodness… I will be the happiest human being alive.

I've been saying this since like 5 years now:
a VEKOMA LAUNCH COASTER would be the perfect fit.
I could see a giant Top-Hat where the Peak of Vortex's Lifthill used to be.
They could also include a Batwing in the layout at the same place where Vortex's Batwing used to be.
It makes so much sense to me. The only thing holding this theory back though is that new Gen. Vekoma has not made it over into the US yet.
Or maybe a Mack Launch Coaster!

Personally, I would love to see an RMC ground-up or a Mack Multi-Launch (spinner or not). Of course, we’d all love to see something Intamin but I’m keeping my hopes low 😂

As much as I like B&M coasters (I still don’t understand why people say they rattle), I hope they go with someone else for this one. They lack an Intamin.
The biggest drawback for Gerstlaurer coasters is that they have a very low capacity.
Also, Cedar Fair is pretty much done with Intamin.

A B&M Surf model opening in 2024. Could be a total misfire guessing as a prediction, but it could work.
