Sorry I’m late but they’re meant to do that. They unscrew but stay in the little backplate so you don’t loose them.

I took my chromebook apart to get water out of the lcd, and when I put it back together it wouldn’t turn on, the power indicator won’t turn on either, anything I can do to fix this?

Are all the cables good and not bent? Did you dry it completely and turn it off immediately?

There is not a screw. To turn off write protect for this Chromebook, disconnect the battery, plug in ac adapter, and power on. Simple :)

Hello! The 3100 does not have a separate removable hard drive. All the storage is soldered onto the motherboard, making it non-upgradable.
