The fines are a joke. Maybe a $5,000 fine would be a deterrent in the future
She does not sound like a local born n bred Singaporean
Singaporean passport does not mean SIngapore born and bred...
Sound like PRC turn Singaporean 😂
that was intentional, pretend like you don't speak and understand English so customs and immigration don't question you much.
@@MuhammadOthman88 She didn't pretend not to understand what the custom officer was saying to her. Her poor command of the English language and typical Chinese accent tells me she's obviously from China, and a naturalized citizen of Singapore.
@@SimplyK888 That is not a Chinese accent at all
“she could have spread dangerous diseases that aren’t in the country” and it was only $360? insanity
Oh, its not hers.
She dont even smoke
Obviously there are no grocery stores anywhere in Australia, so people are forced to bring their own food when they go there.
🙄🙄🙄🤣🤣🤣
Apparently no cigarettes in Melbourne either ! 😜
Are you serious? They don't have any grocery stores in AUS?
@@SV-kr9fu come down under & see for yourself…☺️
@@SV-kr9fu Yes, you need to win fights against kangaroos to get food in Australia.
@@whocares2277 : Hmmm....Interesting. 🤔
Instead of forcing it open, can't they just scan the suitcase? She got through 7 times before. So much for the effectiveness of security.
What a BIG JOKE! $360 Australian dollars penalty for smuggling? That’s not a deterrent but an invitation for more Smuggling.
What kind of Singaporean teacher……?😂
She's not a teacher. She's a compulsive liar 😂
Older asian female with a large suitcase and nothing to declare. What will they find?
Can we just take a moment to give a thumbs up to the amazing doggies in this video?
The woman lied: how could she mix up her luggage with the luggage of her husband?
Caught only 1 in 8 trips? Sounds like folks aren’t doing their jobs.
Singaporen teacher lied to the customer officer 🙄 😑 😒 😐 for her illegal activity.
She work her way up to be a Singaporean , using a Singapore brand passport to commit crime. This woman is born in China ?
is there no food in australia? lol
Of course there is, what kind of a question is that ?
potato is a favourite
They got them nasty Vegemite. 🤮
Well considering the cheapest 25 count pack of cigarettes costs $52 AUD because of taxes, no wonder people try to smuggle them in.
This always happens when you over tax, or try to outlaw something. Cigs are not good for you obviously. But they have to waste so much time. How many hard drugs get through because of this?
In order for Australians to have free healthcare, the tax has to come from somewhere and smokers do contribute to the medicare bill.
@kitrivers979 , Then it's not free is it?
People who try to smuggle in food or other illegal items should be given a large fine and banned from entering the country for at least 2 years.
Andrea your my favorite bio border security officer.. when ever I visit Australia I will definitely take a selfie with you❤❤ all u guys doing excellent jobbb
The cigarettes woman doesn't sound Singaporean at all, worse still a teacher? Maybe, she's a SG PR originally from China. If so the PR status should be revoked. It's doubtful that she's even a teacher. Singaporean teachers are held in high esteem.
Maybe new citizen? Lots of mainland Chinese are now of other nationalities. In the Philippines, lots of fake Filipinos mostly from China.
She holds a Singapore passport, so she is a naturalized citizen of Singapore from China. Singapore should revoke her citizenship cause I won't be surprised if she lied her way into getting her Singapore citizenship.
PR can't have a Singapore passport.
@@flowzero That's right. She's a naturalized citizen from China.
Rusty singled out the package his handler tapped. Good boy. 😄
The working dogs always make my day
It's not uncommon to forget to declare two suitcases packed with cigarettes.
Agents also found it suspicious that she's married but doesn't wear a ring.
As the great Judy says, " Liar Liar Pants on Fire."
She was wearing a ring though
I just checked online and those cigarettes are between $140AU and $350AU per carton of 10 packs of 20 cigarettes. Even on the low end, there's $28,000AU.
After all the years this show has been on I can’t believe these people don’t know there going to open the bags one way or the other lol sometimes the $ they’re going to get is so small but they still take a chance! But this woman was going to make a killing! Not a good liar!
"So every time you come, its just for holiday" so who tf is holiday?, what a lucky man.😂
The woman who couldn’t pay the fine and they called the son. And then he lied 🙄 Why do they come to AU if they don’t like the food?
Is that a joke? SHE called her son and he didn't lie at all! Do you not think that a visitor might be coming to AU for a reason other than the food? A middle aged Chinese woman may like her own food or could be bringing food from home to another Chinese person who has not had that type of food in a long time! She also might be selling it...who knows?
@@Kuklapolitanif you can’t travel without a grocery store in your suitcase - and honestly putting meat in a suitcase is disgusting - stay home. If a person there hasn’t had that type of food for a long time, they can go back to China for it if it’s that important to them. A lot of these middle aged women act all surprised and disingenuous when found out.
@@Kuklapolitanok just finished watching it…sounded like the son was saying it was her first time travelling. Oh please…he’s full of it too. He lied. And why did she hide the seeds in the bottom? She knew full well what she was doing. The “I’m just an innocent middle-aged naive woman who knows nothing about traveling the world” act gets old fast.
@@Kuklapolitan he told the agent it was her first time in AU. That was a lie.
She work her way up to be a Singaporean , using a Singapore brand passport to commit crime. This woman is born in China ?
If Cigarettes weren't $50 a pack here there would be no incentive to smuggle them.
Who wouldn't be sure how many times they traveled ..red flag right there. Followed by bag can't open. Next, she lied about the content of her suitcase.
When she tried running...COMEDY GOLD!!!
The fines are far too light.
$360 fine what?? you get 4x of that amount of a fine for getting caught driving with mobile phone in this country what a joke!
$360 fine? Should be $10,000 and banned from the country for LIFE.
I am Singaporean, based on her accent she definitely sounds like a Mainland Chinese who was naturalised as a SG citizen. Citizenship is given freely nowadays
So she’s Singaporean.
0:03 That is the strangest way I have ever heard ‘Singaporean’ be pronounced. The emphasis is usually on the ‘por’, not the ‘ean’.
Maybe the narrator was thinking of 'Korean'.
@@omnipresent1215 You, enough, clearly. If you didn’t, you’d have just ignored the comment.
Tbh, it’s not really her accent, it’s her proficiency in English is a bit too low for a native Singapore. She can’t really string up a sentence properly.
How cute that dog, Rusty! What a fun job.
Meanwhile I travel internationally with only a backpack. Got rid of my suitcase years ago. Much faster. No need to collect anything. Don't run the risk of losing luggage. Some people aren't willing to travel light, but I love it.
How long are these trips? I'm good at traveling light but I don't think I could make a backpack work for a trip much longer than a week... I can do up to two weeks out of a carry-on suitcase plus a backpack, but just a backpack would be a challenge.
@@StephanAhonen Usually about 2-3 weeks. It's easier if you're travelling somewhere that is currently in summer or has a generally warmer climate. Might be tough to do for winters.
@@Krenisphia You're doing laundry right? Because otherwise I have no idea how one could fit 21 changes of clothes into a backpack.
If mailing fluorescent light starters from the Nederland to Australia (of all places!) is not immediately suspicious, I don't know what is...🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done , great work from the Australia Custom !!!
13:21You guys don't see her wedding ring...I saw her wedding ring😅
Wrong hand
The fines for bringing agricultural, meat products into the country are nowhere near high enough. I think if you started finds that between one and $3000 it might stop or at least curb the passengers illegal food in.
I hate when i get home from an overseas trip and find 40 000 smokes in my luggage while I'm unpacking.
Lady only got 360 dollar fine for bringing dangerous food in her luggage . no deterrent there
All the questions except 1 on the declaration are "NO" questions. Only 1 is a "YES" question.
Always read every question.
Never thought to see a singaporean doing such things. Haiyaaa…
I love the show, but I wish they would just run each story front to back instead of cutting in and out. It's really annoying.
Singaporean cigarette smuggler trying to finesse 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Her passport colour is not the correct colour for Singapore passport, but another country. She mentioned some mix up in China (?) 18:06
I can't stand smoking. Disgusting (cancer) habit.
In desperate need of a makeover.
I see lots of potential.
Mail from particularly troublesome countries (Netherlands) is always examined closely for drugs. 8:06
Yes. Port of Rotterdam is among the largest ports in the E.U., and it has been one of the primary ports for drug smuggling from South America into Europe (Antwerp is another big one).
This lady really did the “500 cigarettes” meme but real.
