Hello, i have a question pertaining to performance cars that have fake engine noise pumping through the speakers...will it affect the quality of my music? lows or highs? will i hear some static when the car is at regular speed? or even worse will the car lower my music if i mash the gas pedal to pump in the fake engine noise.
In BMWs you can turn it off with coding. The difference is pretty significant. It won’t cause static or anything, but without it, it would certainly be better.
@mrsittingmongoose But do you know if it affects the music without having to code it? very very limited resources and shops in my country for tuning or aftermarket.
@ yes, it will affect the sound quality of any car that has it. Again, it’s not going to crackle or anything, but with it off, it will sound better. Some cars you can just turn it off in the menus. I think you can in bmws now too without needing to code it.
The sound system sounds good, but not being able to play FLAC files from a USB would be a big problem for me. Most of the music I play is 24 Bit FLAC files with a few 16 bit FLAC when the 24 bit is not available.
please tell me your opinion, is the Bose system on the Honda Pilot (civic, accord) better performing than the one on the Mazda cx90? Thank you very much!
The Acura MDX with the new B&O system got a B. Interesting how the $55k Honda has a system that sounds slightly better than a $70k Acura. Hopefully Acura makes some audio system tweaks for 2026, since it shouldn't sound worse than the brand's non-luxury counterpart.
It's not that it sounds better, the rankings are holistic, factoring in price and vehicle purpose. An Acura would have to sound better than a Honda to get the same rating
@@DailyMotorSound True. It's also frustrating that Acura changed audio brands, dropping down from S-tier audio. And regardless, the top Acura and Honda systems shouldn't be within swinging distance of each other.
The Pilot's Bose is a superb improvement over the non branded radio. Not because it's a very good radio, but because the regular one is utter trash. The Pilot's Bose radio is, at best, a C minus. Unfortunately, it's a prime example of the old adage " no highs, no lows... it must be Bose. The sound is noticeably compressed. high frequencies seem cut off at over 3k or so. Bass is strong and boomy but lacks real low frequency extension. Centerpoint makes it worse. It makes individual instruments fade into a muddled formless background. Given the compression, signal to noise ratio is poor. The radio can not decode FLAC nor any other HD format. Thus, MP3 bit ratio is all you will ever get. Compared to the "base" Burmester on my Mercedes EQS, it's quite bad. I know it's a little unfair comparison, but note that's a base audio system, and this is an "upgrade".
Extra steps for setting up the second camera and then editing weren't worth the small benefit. I will admit that for some cars it would be more helpful than others
hi there ! im shoping for an EV, and canin noise and sound system are very important to me. allergic to rattling noises... ioniq 5, equinox, polestar 2 ? tyvm

It’s crazy how I just came to the channel looking for the honda pilot sound system and for my surprise this video just dropped 🎉
Sometimes it works out that way!
The Bose system in the new Pilot is all around awesome. It would be a dream to make the ELS systems for Honda since Acura is using B&O.
Finally a Honda product with low enough NVH to actually hear the stereo without absolutely cranking it. In my 2021 Passport, that's not possible

Now that you mention it, I wonder if it's the same for EVs with their spaceship sounds. It's easier to turn those off, but the question still stands.

@ of course, playing two different sounds at once isn’t going to allow them to sound their best.

I spent 3 days recoding my library to WMA.
Good news for the new pilot 😃

Do you perform your test with the cargo cover on or off? If the vehicle was equipped with one.
Typically on

If we compare EX-L that comes with 9 speakers with Touring that comes with Bose 12-speakers, is the price diff worth going with Touring?
What happened to the near-screen camera for better viewing of settings?

@DailyMotorSound I understand... maybe you can bring your head closer to the screen 😁
@@ismaelestribi1505 Haha true, I've done that before, I'll try to do it more in the future. The Pilot also just needs a bigger screen :D
Please review the new Bowers & Wilkins in the new generation of Aston Martins!
Out of curiosity, what car manufacturer has the "best" Bose systems? Mazda?
Could be Porsche. They use Bose as a mid-level system.
Mazda and Porsche. Some of the new Hyundai Bose systems are improving, but not quite to that level yet
What about the Bose Performance Series in the Infiniti QX80 Sensory? That earned S Tier here.
@@upshifter5316 Oh yes! Infiniti Bose is very good.
Great videos, what is the name of the intro music?
How is this objectively compared to the A4/S4/RS4's 17- Speaker B&O system? Not factoring in vehicle price and stuff
Noticably less dynamic, but similar bass
Please review a bmw with hifi sound system that installed (match up 8 dsp)
What tier would you give the IS350 youve tested? Does it have deep bass?
It's been too long for me to give a definitive answer. I will try to get into another one soon
really appreciate the videos you do!!

Mind you I don't have a published review for the Tesla, but I've spent a good amount of time in a first generation model 3 with the upgraded system
