- Kent Williams was nice enough to take us around Grizzly Jig store room and show us everything we would need to start tying hair jigs, and then we went back to the back room sat down and he's going to show you how to tie as a beginner, slow and steady, so you can take your time and learn how to do it right. Hope you guys enjoy and as always, please like and subscribe!
Once you start it's an addiction. Nothing better than the satisfaction of catching a mess of Crappie on a hand tie...

This is awesome, thank you.
One tip to the new tie crew……Squirrel tail , like buck tail can slip on you. Take your time and secure both those type tail materials, with either good tight wraps or add a tiny amount of Hard as Nails ( Nail Polish ) on base thread then continue to do your wraps. Hackle, Turkey flats, and other misc. feathers are a bit easier to secure. Rob
Great tip
Keep them coming
That’s part of the fun. Coming up with new patterns, color combinations etc.. One other tip is -it’s a lot cheaper to buy materials at craft stores-hobby lobby’s, Elamite craft aisles etc. You can buy life time of material for the price you pay at fishing stores. And anything can be turned into jigs- latex balloons, dust mops( crappies love mop bugs) pull chains for ceiling fans. Be creative
Awesome video sir! I think I want to try this!!!
Do it
love you make it,thank's
Thanks!
Yes sir

What would you suggest as the 3 best color combos you've found? Want to try to tie these but want to try a couple different color options to see what works best
My top 3 colors would be
Black /chart, white/chart and orange/chart

Or you can cover the eye of your jig head with a pair of pliers and dip into your powder paint and not close the eye in the first place
Your exactly correct
You must pour jigs
@@crappieconnection not yet, lol. But that’s my next step. Even painting and prepping all my own heads I am spending a fortune. So I have been studying up on how to do my own.
Sounds like your going down the right path. We have another podcast coming on jig tying next week
