I think alot of people are missing how historic this is. I was planning to fish in the snow, then decided to make snowmen with the kids.. once in a lifetime chance to do that.. God bless brother.
I loved your snowmagedon video! It’s historic!! I love the fishing but mostly I enjoy you and your style! Enjoyed the Greek recipe from Melanie, too! You do you and it will be fine!
I live over in Jacksonville Florida, this happened in 1989 here. I had about six inches of snow on my lawn, my beautiful Seville lawn😢, it was on the ground for over a week after it turned to ice. I replaced it all with Floratam, St Augustine. We were without power for a few days, we had a wood burning stove with a blower that had never been used. Loaded up the kids and the pickup truck we went to the woods and cut firewood came back and boy was so glad. The heat was beautiful. It's not snowing here today but it never got above 33 degrees and it poured down rain last night we had about 3 in. Tomorrow's supposed to be 25°so all the standing water will be frozen. I hope this ends soon😂
thanks for this video. glad you and melanie got to enjoy a special day like that together. you can fish anytime. food looks outstanding and you are blessed.
Hey Brant let me give you a tip. When you run your water, do not open up your outdoor faucets because all you’re gonna do is create a big frozen mess of ice. You’re supposed to wrap up your faucets or any exposed pipe outside of your house and then drip a faucet inside your house preferably about the furthest away from Where the water comes into your house, just one faucet is fine. Keep up the good work brother.
Hey Melanie! I’m east of Cleveland, about an hour in Madison!! Your recipe looked great and I am going to try it. I’m a snow lover! Obviously. We got just over 3.5 feet of snow at Thanksgiving and I thought it was beautiful. Part of me likes that people get to enjoy snow that they normally don’t get to enjoy. Then the practical part of me worries because those areas do not have the equipment to remove snow. I hope everyone stays safe in your brief winter wonderland.
Your wife is Greek. Dude I grew up in a town with a large Greek population and I loved the festivals. A buddy at work is Greek and helped me expand my cooking skills tremendously with amazing flavors. You need to go there and create a couple of fishing videos for us.
What a unique video. In upstate New York Hudson Valley we also got 5 to 7 inches the day before you did. It never gets any better but I’m glad you got an opportunity to see it once in a lifetime event. That Greek chicken looked absolutely phenomenal, continued success.
Just a normal occurance here on cape cod. Crazy you guys got that much snow. Crazy that in December the gulf coast in TX/LA got hammered by severe weather with an F3 Tornado. Wild weather down that way. I love the videos that you and Melanie do together. Come check out Cape Cod sometimes you guys will love it.
I was in Florosa Elementary school in 1988, and I remember Mrs. Mulhearn reads us a story, and all of sudden, she stops and yells it's SNOWING!! That was the last time I think the 850 area received snow! Good times!
I taught fours kids to drive, each on a standard transmission. I would try to get them out after a snow to teach them to get a feel and not over drive conditions. Take them to an open spot and fish tail to get a feel of controlling slides etc. All drive pretty well. Love it Brant, love it👍🥶
I can’t believe how much snow you got down there. I can’t remember this ever happening in your area and I’m an old guy. 👍 I’m sending warm thoughts your way .
I follow another Pensacola RUclipsr as well, and I could not believe what he was showing yesterday on his IG account. 26 degrees and Heavy snow in Pensacola. Insane.
Hi Brant we live in northern West Virginia and we get a lot of snow every winter but it’s crazy that Florida got 8 inches of snow. There probably aren’t any snow plows. I guess you don’t have snow shovels. You were very wise to keep your water outlet dripping. My husband and I enjoy your fishing show. Take care and be careful
Ps I was thinking of making chicken and rice today , I commented before I got to the part of your chicken and rice. How cool, I'm going to try your recipe.
Hey Brant, love your video's, we got 4" here in Panama City FL 2 hours East. I'm from MD but I've lived here for 20 years but it was cool for the kids that have never seen snow. Keep them coming.
We drive in that all the time here in Wisconsin! Crazy for you in Florida though 🤣 the snow covered palm tree is odd to see! Keep the great videos coming
Melonie takes over the kitchen 👍, that looks delicious, Brant drive the way you feel happy with , we have many accidents over here due to people driving to close 👍👍take care
Love the video I’m sitting in central Pennsylvania income remember when I lived in Bama and traveled to Pensacola to fish along the coast two thumbs up for Melanie always enjoy watching you it’ll melt and go away in a couple days and it’s back to watching your great videos
Yo, I’ve got to tell you, after I left saint Pete I moved to Boulder Co for 24 years and actually had a boat repair business. Fished a lot also. I hauled a Catalina 270 to Pensacola and fell in love with that place. Thanks for your videos. God Bless
Would have loved to see you fish in the snow but if you can't get the water so be it at least you had a snow bunny to cuddle up with LOL Melanie's dish looked delicious The Baklava was a nice touch
Ha!!!! Love how you acted in the snow. Grew up in Minnesota and have lived in Colorado for past 28 years. Snow States. And what a handsome couple you and Melanie are.
No way! I moved to NE Florida from NJ 8 years ago and never would have expected that much snow here. If l so as much see one snowflake I'm moving further south. Next week suppose to be back in the 70s so I'll be out there fishing trying to make up for lost time.
LOL. Bib and gloves. So strange what humans get used to. I'm in SE Idaho, been in single digits or slightly negative. Shorts and a hoody. Nice work, Brant. Always dig the show.
I live near Seattle and haven’t seen that much snow in 10 years! Snow brings a wonderful silence as it’s happening. I prefer to look a the snow from a distance , and that’s the Olympic Mts, Mount Rainier, and the Cascades. I haven’t ever been a skier. Just take it easy. We have a military population that think awd will get them anywhere faster. That’s BS. I have a good friend that lives in Panama City. Her snow pics are awesome. That Greek chicken and rice looks delish! ‘Will have to try it!
I live up the road from you and am amazed by how much we got. I blew it off completely when they said we would get snow. Wrong!! Really cool to see all the kids seeing it for the first time in the neighborhood, they are having a blast 👍.
I live SE of Houston and got snow yesterday morning, but only three inches or so. it was pretty neat. The sun is out today and it's 45 degrees, so already almost gone.
I love watching addicted to fishing fishermen and you are one of my all time favorites. I miss cameraman Ron for the very same reason..he was a good fisherman with a joyfull spirit. He is Undoubtedly fishing in heaven.
Wow, that is amazing. You got more snow than we did in the Chicagoland area this year. That’s crazy. I do enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing this one with us. Let’s hope this doesn’t happen again in our lifetime. Thank you again stay warm.
I live about an hour south of Pittsburgh brother, and when I left Allentown, PA during the blizzard of 1993 to move to Brandon, FL we had 32" of snow and it was -15 degrees...and when we got to Tampa it was almost 65 degrees and there was an inch of snow on the ground still. I left Florida back in 2000 and when I got back to Pittsburgh Airport, there was 8" of snow on the ground. I lived in Brandon, FL from 1993 until 2000 and I never saw snow again, but I am so blown away that the panhandle got that much snow...
That's my snow Brant!! I live in upper West GA and didn't get a flake. 😮😂😢 My son was so disappointed it passed us by. We got the temperatures🌡in the teens, but NO SNOW. Please be very careful of the black ice in days ahead when the snow starts to melt. I lived 8 years in Connecticut and then moved to GA to escape the snow and cold. You'll need to build us a fishing 🎣 snowman ⛄️ 😉 😎 Love your shows.
In the early -mid 1970's Pensacola had a sizeable snowfall. Some high school buddies piled into my 1964 Corvair and i drove all over the playing fields at Ferry Pass school on Olive Road spinning donuts and figure 8's 😊
I live in east TN and we all do the same thing when it snows. We all get on the roads to get groceries that we should've got before the snow. Hilarious. I was also thinking u need to find a sled and go sledding before it melts but it looks super flat there. Enjoy the snow!
Brant here in Upstate New York we are in our 2nd month of snow and cold. You southerns are not equipped for these cold temperatures, let alone snow removal. Drive safely and keep warm my friend.
The guy tailgaiting and driving way too fast was the dumb one not them, driving at 10 is wise when your brakes don't work and your wheels have no traction. Engine braking or nothing really, hard to scrub speed in ice with summer tyres on. I doubt they sell winter tyres in florida 🤣
@ hahahahahahaha, bud there was less than an inch of slush/ice on the roads. 5-10 mph is a little too cautious, almost obnoxious, he should’ve just pulled off to the side a bit and let them pass
@ I really dont think it takes more than an inch of ice to screw you up when your brakes dont work all that does is lock your wheels. Agreed if they wanted to go faster just let them go speed into the nearest ditch
@ you’re right. I completely forgot how steep and narrow the roads were down there. Stop it. Flat, wide open roads, with the Florida sun melting that snow. 5 mph is obnoxious
Slow is good! I am in Chicago, drove semis in that stuff for years. My house on Raccoon Bayou just over the bay from you got 9"! More than I have gotten in Illinois all winter. Love the Channel.
Damm! Go make you a snowman with a fishing pole and name it Snowman Brant.😳😮🤣😂🤷 Follow it up with a snowball fight between you and Melanie.😳😬🤣😂 And time to change your slogan The Sunshine State.😳😮🤣😂🤷
We only got 2 inches of snow in Raleigh NC. So if you are tired all the snow and ice in Pensacola come up to Raleigh. Of course up here you are 750 miles from Santa Rosa Island so it's a long drive to Pensacola Beach.😮
I used to live right up the road from the Apple Market! Ashley Club apartments...when I was going through flight school at Pensacola. Crazy to see all that snow there!
That is insane , we are in Eustis , Florida and it’s been raining the last few days . At 5 today it was 38, nuts . Thanks for showing us Floridians lol
Brant, I do not like this northern weather! We retired from the Navy here because I didn't want to move back to South Dakota! Anyway, I'll be working in Key West during the sale. Can you give me a rain check for the following weekend? Thanks in advance!
Man... I was hoping we would get some snow down here in Orlando (some fell in 2011 but melted before hitting the ground, and it was light). It never got below 41°F and has been raining for the past 2 days. Glad you all stayed safe up there. I bet all the clothes you bought for your Iceland trip came in handy! Keep us apprised of the fishing activity up there as I'm curious how they react to it.
Little windshield tip, take all the snow off or crank the heat on defrost (if you have that ) for a bit. If not you can burn out your wiper motor! Wearing layers is key to keeping warm but dont think you need that, wont last long.
I live in Jax now, but Pensacola is my home town - never seen that much snow. In Florida. We got about 1/2 inch 15 or so years ago but not like that. Crazy.
I think alot of people are missing how historic this is. I was planning to fish in the snow, then decided to make snowmen with the kids.. once in a lifetime chance to do that.. God bless brother.
It's all due to global warming, make sure you have your lifejackets. When that snow melts 50% of Florida will be under water. GLOBAL WARMING
This is just the tip of the iceberg for what is to come. Global cooling is real!
I loved your snowmagedon video! It’s historic!! I love the fishing but mostly I enjoy you and your style! Enjoyed the Greek recipe from Melanie, too! You do you and it will be fine!
A fellow Clevelander here. 8 inches of snow makes everyone go crazy and drive all messed up lol.

Seeing snow on green trees is always a crazy sight lol

Brant, always use a front wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle while driving on snowy/icy roads if you don't have a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
GREAT VIDEO, thanks so much, Brant!!! Bee safe.
In the early -mid 1970's Pensacola had a sizeable snowfall. Some high school buddies piled into my 1964 Corvair and i drove all over the playing fields at Ferry Pass school on Olive Road spinning donuts and figure 8's 😊

I live over in Jacksonville Florida just to the east of you we did not get no snow but that is very crazy
We had to cancel our camping trip to Pensacola, because of this weather. The wife refused to do the cold weather
Ah, she may be on to something.

here in Deep south Texas (Brownsville area) we had a similar snow fall of about 6" on Christmas Eve of 1995
Love your videos
WOA! That`s a lot of snow we in NYC deal with this crap every winter!
Beant you need to come north and do an ice fishing video. It was almost 20 degrees colder in central Ohio Wednesday morning
First time I've seen a local RUclips channel
Brant you live in Sun snow state. 😂😂 Can't wait until we get to come down and visit Beach bum outdoors.
Little windshield tip, take all the snow off or crank the heat on defrost (if you have that ) for a bit. If not you can burn out your wiper motor! Wearing layers is key to keeping warm but dont think you need that, wont last long.
Brant, you need to add Ice fishing to your bucket list.
Beautiful snowy Florida as well as we are camping in beautiful Gulf Shores State Park 😅
Lucky you, hope it will be a great trip.
That’s awesome. I’ve grown up in snow states but went to college at eckerd in st Pete. I’m glad you experienced it.
You got more snow than us in Minnesota bro!! 😆 🤣 😂
Lifetime Minnesota boy loves to see this, we get it every year!!
Love the snow-😊
I got 10 inches at my house in NOLA. The city, 3 days later, is still shut down!
We got 6 inches of snow here in La Porte, TX, very unusual for our area.
I live in Jax now, but Pensacola is my home town - never seen that much snow. In Florida. We got about 1/2 inch 15 or so years ago but not like that. Crazy.
All my southern friends...yep....Texas as well New Orleans???
