  • This is the audio from EPCOT 40 that played all throughout the entrance plaza. It is the original 1982 entrance plaza loop with two additional songs added. This version is a combination of the source tracks from Future World Multimedia and the 10/01/22 live recordings from MrEPCOT. To download, use a RUclips to MP3 converter.

I am so glad that happenstance into this. I have the original 12" vinyl LP, that I digitized; it was okay, but this recording is way superior. EPCOT has lost so much of it original design.

Was thrilled to be there that day, and to see the fountain prisms return (something I never expected) along with the original themes - no dry eyes here, for I remember the original EPCOT and know what all of those attractions and interactive exhibits meant to us at the time. Guardians (as stellar a ride that it is) is just the latest giant deviation from what Future World was and will ALWAYS be an attraction that belongs in a different park. Had SWGE not been created I strongly believe that Guardians would've ended up at HS, and that's really where it should be. My former employer missed a HUGE opportunity to tie it in more with that pavilion, have some obvious nods to education about conservation and energy, and make it about more than just awesome space heroes fighting a villain. But still a tremendous thing to have lived a decades long dream to be at MK during the 50th one day and EPCOT's 40th the next. A true feat for the parks to return to "normal" that soon after hurricane Ian. Nothing but respect and thanks to all cast members for making that happen on Sept 30th. See you all in line for EPCOT 50th merch which last I heard has already formed.... :)

Well said! I was there, at opening day. I covered all of Epcot (for the press) a week leading up to opening and beyond. It was unexplainable. It was the future. It was beyond and unlike anything that had ever been done. Had the younger, know-nothing people that led Disney kept it to it's vision, it would still be changing the world and influencing a better future for all of us! Now it's just a theme park and a disjointed one at that.

Hi, would You know where I can find the EPCOT World showcase Morning Playlist? I mean the music played daily in the World showcase before its opening hour. I do remember it was most of them classic themes. Thanks for your time and help!
    Best Regards!

What is Figment doing in the center of the logo? Remember all this music. Thank you.

I believe that is a pot of gold that Figment is opening (lid in his right hand.) The image was used in a lot of the souvenirs and clothing sold in the early '80s.

Where did O’Canada and The Computer Song come from? They’re not from the original loop. Are they newly composed or did they not make the cut and have been in hiding all these years?

Yeah, these were cut, but I don’t know if these two were suppose to be part of the 1982 loop or for their respective shows.

@@DisneyWorldofMusic835 gonna say for the loop. They have the same sound and composition as the other songs: a sweeping orchestra and electronic sounds…which I absolutely love.

@@Horizons1 same, this might be the reason I absolutely adore the 1982 loop because of its aspects
