EPCOTs 40th Anniversary A Megamix by Martin

- 15 years ago I created an audio mix celebrating the history of the park, with no idea how popular it would be.
For the 40th anniversary I’ve revisited the idea and spent a lot of time expanding and improving on the original. Better quality. More source. More content. At almost an hour long, this soundtrack is a journey from the past to the present and - I hope - touches on every main show, attraction and genre of entertainment the park has had, some well known and some more obscure.
Like 15 years ago, I purposely didn’t lay the tracks in chronological order. I thought it’d be more fun to have a few surprises and play “guess the show/attraction”. I will post a full track listing afterwards (there’s well in excess of 100 main topics and numerous sub topics)

I couldn't believe the show when I heard it. The arrangements were SO bland. I said to myself, "They don't understand Epcot fans WANT the weird 80's sound."
Please. For EPCOT Forever to be this it would have to be made by someone who loved EPCOT Center and understood what it was, what it could be, and what it should be.
Thank you Martin for all of your awesome videos. I have enjoyed them all. But I REALLY enjoyed your videos on EPCOT. The First Time I went to Epcot was in 1982. At That Time it was called Epcot Center and in my opinion that was when it was at it's best. After my first trip to Epcot I was hooked. It was My favorite theme park in the World. It is very sad at the direction that Epcot has taken. I use to tell people that Epcot was like a Permanent Worlds Fair. It did Entertain, Inform and Inspire which was its original goal. NOW!!! I do not what you called it. Its just a Mish Mash of intellectual properties shoved down your throat. So thanks for the Historical Videos on all the early EPCOT CENTER. It brought back wonderful memories and a tear to my eye.

Oh, nice! I had heard about the version of "Canada, My Canada" with the singer who couldn't sing in French to save her life, and now I've heard it. 🙂(And I'm glad they redid it later with a better singer).

I can't believe it's been 40 years ago that I first went to EPCOT the 2nd day after opening. So much of the rides failed but it was a wonderful experience for a kid.

I didn't notice this until my second or third listen, but there's this faint sound clip hidden over and over throughout the video. I can't quite make out what it's saying (Pepsi is love? Adventure is coming?), and I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it's kinda weird. I've found it at 1:04, 4:52, 7:35, 12:18, 17:48, 20:41, 24:18, 25:44, 27:32, 29:41, 32:23, 35:49, 39:00, 41:11, 45:08, 48:34, 54:01, and 56:49. I might have missed some instances, it's almost so faint as to be subliminal.
But aside from that, yeah, I love this, this is a fantastic tribute to the history of EPCOT Center.

I noticed there is some backwards audio in this. I wonder what that means?
Just watched the special Spaceship Earth light show for the 40th. My opinion, give the rights back to Martin Smith as this Megamix was so much better. It is obvious whoever was tasked with the light show/audio edit had no connection to original Epcot.
Why not write a letter about it.
