@notfarc1 You're obviously not a big Chickenfoot fan OR from Chicago. The band did a 5 gig "Road Test Tour" to warm up with new drummer Kenny Aronoff(also doing one in Europe) in small venues before they start a full tour. The Metro is one of the best small Chicago venues(ALOT of big bands play there, Foo Fighters were just there in Aug.) Don't worry, I'm sure they'll play The Staples Center on the full tour. Enjoy your nose bleed seats.
@notfarc1 I would so much rather see them in a small intimate venue than some huge arena. I've met some greats in my life and shared a drink with them in small places like this. You can watch your idols on a 40ft screen then stand by a fence hoping they wave to you on the way to the tourbus if you want, I'd rather shake their hand and buy them a shot at the bar.
