Wow... no servos on the southside of Yass! The Shell just around the bend from your drop was the go to, back in the day. It had a huge dining room, and on long weekends you couldn't find a seat. There were about 3 others, along the old highway, but I can't remember what brands they were.
@@Brad_The_Truckie I’ve spent 20 years selling the booze in the kegs you’ve delivered.. young man’s game though so I’m changing it up. Always loved the transport blokes.. legends.
@@simewinder in Canberra? I delivered kegs there for a few years. Might be a young man’s game now but it sure is a hard game in todays climate running a pub/club
@@Brad_The_Truckie There was 1 on the south bound side where the GTW sign is 55:11 minute mark that was the out bound driveway. In the early 1980's it was an old rundown place with better service an food than across the road.
lol i prefer my hands and feet to freeze on really cold mornings like we had -5.7c here in Temora than getting sunburned on a hot summers day. You should do little Timelapse from Yass to the Burley Griffin way turn off just after bowning. I like seeing that massive hill near bowning

Yeah mate they are all gone now, just a couple of little fuel up and go stores, not a single road house left
Great stuff. I hate it when cars or trucks leave their lights on when they're in a parking bay.
@@RoadTrainAdventures I see so many, head lights are on yet trailer lights are off. Must be a European thing

Good video mate. Very relaxing watch. You went past my brother in law’s house there in Crace, Canberra
I’d give him a toot but I doubt the neighbours will be happy that time of the morning. Thanks for watching
Gasoline alley was on Bowning end of town. I broke an axle turning onto the Hume many years ago.
@@warrickjones590 ah okay so the three extra roadhouses still there were part of it then
Thanks
@@davidwilson9988 thank you soo much
gasoline alley was always southern end at yass where you thought it was
@@bahamagirl2 thank you. Do you know if it was just the three servos that the buildings are still standing or where there more?
@Brad_The_Truckie I think it was just the three and everyone used to double park in front of them at peak times.
Ah copy, thank you
