I miss this type of action in Hollywood, where you can actually see what the fuck is going on and understand the fight. Clear view. Guillermo has great camerawork here.

The rise of the oner, John Wick and Kingsman popularizing uncut sequences prioritizing choreography and clarity, Marvel and DC abandoning quick cutting and shaky cam, Mission Impossible etc. Any franchise worth a damn is trying to emulate that nowadays. Even TV is getting in on this. The complaint is nearly 20 years old and it’s complaining about a problem that was solved 10 years ago practically across the board.
For me Wesley Snipes ticks all the boxes. As good as the new actor might be, I’m concerned he doesn’t fit the bill and will fall short of filling those big shoes.
U kidding? Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan don’t have a martial arts background and yet they have the BEST HAND TO HAND FIGHT SCENES in the MCU. Pretty sure Ali will be fine.

Snipes actual abilities in martial arts makes him very convincing. He has total control of his movements, which I think was always the key to why the first 2 films were great. You believed that this hulking leather-clad badass was ACTUALLY that badass.

One thing is for sure. This movie is non stop action. Love them or hate them.. the Blade films get right to it from start to finish. Unlike oh.. everything now.

It still doesn't make sense why they wouldn't just tell him what they were there for. They are dressed up like assassins, with swords and guns. Not exactly messenger attire. Why are they surprised when they are shot at? Imagine going to the white house to deliver a message to the president, dressed up like Rambo, get shot at by secret service and instead of explaining that you're just there to deliver a message, you attack the president when he shows up. Not really making a good case for why they shouldn't have shot at you in the first place. The poorly done special effects are not up for debate, experts in the industry have explained why. You can google it. I said nothing of the acting, direction, writing or story, or overall quality. It looks fine in some spots in the movie but atrocious in others (1:34-1:45, woof)... It's good in the final fight with Nomak because the CGI is mostly kept in the background and you can explain it away as "vampire movement"

Fighting someone and holding your ground for X amount of time can earn you respect and become much more receptive to ones offerings.
i remember the first time i watched this, i paused the DVD after watching the scene at 1:34, and replayed it over and over. it just looked so bizarre, so artificial, and so out of place. it was one of the first times i had seen CGI being used in a really bad way. why was CGI needed in this scene? it would have worked perfectly fine without it.

I can tell that the outfits that these vampires are wearing probably influenced the designs of some of MCU Spider-Man's costumes. The aperture eyes are like Peter's homemade suit. And it's red glow reminds me of instant kill mode. Also, the whole black covert ops suit, looks like the one from Far from Home.

Right? Oakley had so many cool custom screen props in late 90s/ early 2000s. I still have a pair of the silver framed/black lensed ones, but everyone knows the black/ Ruby’s are king!

This is was back in the olden days where we would actually show fight scenes in medium to wide shots instead of rapid editing to shreds.
Why didn't Nissa fight Nomak like that!? She goes from badass woman to damsel in distress as the film progresses.
Nomak are stronger than Blade she's not match for him the Guy Ragdoll Vampires like they are helpless babies and beat the Swat Team in seconds.
