This movie had me believing vampires were real
First Time i saw this movie it really blew my mind. Like vampires killing other vampire. Thats back in 2005.

Guillermo del Toro actually took his reaper virus from the Philippines mythical ASWANG. Yes, the main distinction between vampires and Aswangs is that vampires have fangs and claws, while Aswangs have a long tongue that could pierce through flesh and act as the main feeding tool and Aswangs have fangs and claws too but they are more dangerous than vampires. Aswangs have this oil substance that comes out from their back ( when the small reaper bite thought light-hammer) and armpit and they are animalistic like predators. Also, you have more luck surviving a werewolf than fighting an Aswang.
