I am really impressed with your method of growing pumpkins, it is amazing to produce such large and beautiful fruits. Is there any special secret you use to achieve this result?
Burying the vegetation of the crop you're growing in your garden is the quickest way to draw pests that eat that particular plant. Tomato leaves in your soil will draw tomato worms, potato leaves will draw potato beetles, etc... Squash leaves will attract: vine borers, squash bugs and cucumber beetles. They smell their favorite food rotting from far away and lay their eggs, knowing that it will make perfect food for their offspring during larval stage, who will grow up to eat the actual plant.
@smas3256 I don't think the word "theory" means what you think it means and that the word you were looking for is "hypothesis". But yes, I learned it because of the stupid "theory" that living things will migrate toward the smell of the things they like to eat, find it, eat it and then make babies near it. Lol
@@Not_Of_This_World868 a hypothesis is a theory. and pests know the difference between parts of the plant and the health of their cells. a vine borer probably won't be attracted to buried leaves. a vine borer, i've heard tell, will even leave the stem of the vine if it's a strange color (not the white/yellow/green of the bottom 1/2 inch of a squash vine). so yeah you've got theories like everyone on reddit, but how many actual plants have you grown.
@BroScro 1. A hypothesis and a theory are *_NOT_* the same thing, FAR from it. A hypothesis is an idea. Then, when you've tested your hypothesis and have it peer reviewed and proven, *_THEN,_* it becomes a theory. This is literally 5th grade stuff. 2. I've been gardening since I was 5, so just over 30 years and learned this from my extension agent. So, unless you have a masters degree in agriculture and 18 years of experience at a University Extension Office, I'll go ahead and listen to her.
Very interesting video, thanks for sharing. I don't use artificial fertilisers , and i haven't heard of the use of coal clinker for drainage , it contains toxic heavy metals. Hugglekulture would be worth looking into, small branches underneath to hold moisture and break down and provide nutrients. . Best wishes from Ireland 🇮🇪.
Hi my dear... Really congratulations on your videos but I would like to know the black substrate that you use in your videos... I would like to repeat your experiments at home!!!
Si. Está muy bueno. Pero con esos pétalos de las flores que has cortado se hace un riquísimo estofado de flor de calabaza. Por ejemplo, nada se desperdicia
I ❤ watching your videos. Can I ask, when you started filling the container you said it was "coal" and you said that strange thing you were breaking up was "coal" too but I don't think that is what we would call it in English. Not sure what it might be. Maybe "clay"??
Thank you for watching my videos! To clarify, when I mentioned "coal," I was actually referring to a type of organic material that is commonly used in gardening. It helps retain moisture and provides nutrients to the plants. Sorry for any confusion!
Yo plante zapallos por primera vez las hormigas me comieron los frutos y flores logre solo 3 unidades que vivan las demás una pena mas de 15 frutos desperdiciado, ahora que vi tu video buscare un mejor lugar para cosechar gracias
Tutto bello tutto fantastico..complimenti! Poi arrivano gli insetti, le malattie, ma qui nel video ovviamente non c'è..tutto perfetto ma la realtà è un'altra!

Did you experience that with your own garden or is that what we all learned and just may be a theory? @MorboDoooom
