so glad I just pulled the trigger on a 2024 RS5 Competition Coupe. the last year Audi is making a 2-door for North America. so sad. I agree with everything you’re saying. although, Audi is being very hush hush about the B10 RS5 Avant coming over. they neither confirmed, or denied it coming. I bet they will. rumored to have the Panamera 4S E Hybrid powertrain, with 536hp. time will tell.
There's been a lot of criticism from people that haven't been behind the wheel yet. Sure, some things LOOK cheap, but maybe see it in person and touch it before losing your minds. I'll wait until I test drive to decide how I feel.
Yeah, I wish I could time-travel and get my hands on it. Until then, I just use my two eyeballs to point out the obvious interior and exterior gaffs. I got a piano black trim to sell you :)
The design is okay for the most part. The disappointing news is the horsepower bump which is dreadful. The S5 that is STILL 6 months away will continue to have less power than the BMW and Mercedes equivalent. All we’re asking for is at least 390hp considering it’s a 2025
It's honestly rare I quite literally agree with everything said in a video, I'd say you're spot on all you said imho, very bummed out they're not really treating premium paying customers (S/RS) with the respect they deserve, and as a european I feel bad you guys won't get the wagon, not everyone needs an SUV man, some people want the space but not the bulkiness...
@@alexgreco748 Very true indeed. BMW M cars are indeed manufactured by a special division known as BMW M GmbH, which was originally established as BMW Motorsport in 1972. This division focuses on creating high-performance vehicles that embody the brand's racing heritage. BMW has categorized its M vehicles into different levels: M Sport: These are appearance packages available for base models, not considered true M cars. I'm not saying they aren't great cars. I owned an M340i and loved it. But it was not in the same league as my M3.
I own a s4 and seeing what Audi is doing is insane smh. I was really excited cause I thought they were bring back to s5/rs5 coupe cause that’s what I wanted next 🤦🏽♂️ the interior in the new 5s are beautiful and the stock power at least improved but idk about this move that Audi made
I have a question i can't find the answer to. None of the CGI generated dealer stock photos or audi usa website are showing any models with the upgraded " digital stage" style infotainment system thats supposedly coming for 2025. All the euro videos im seeing on youtube and car blogs show digital stage and talk about it. What gives? did they back track on it ? are the 2025s going to have it?
I saw the new model and said hell no and went out and bought a `24 A5. For the new one, I hate the the grill, the headlights, the 2D rings and the ugly screens inside. I wonder if they think they are going to sell a lot of these? I've driven a lot of Audi's and the Q5 is one of my least favorites. It's very boring to drive and the suspension isn't very Audi like. I'd just go with a Q8 with air suspension. I am also going to wait until those RS6's come down in price too haha. I really hope they don't screw up the RS6 but they probably will. I wonder how long these new ones will be before refresh comes.
The Audi S5 Avant is the car to get if you can miss 100K+. Tax-wise, in Europe, I would be interested in the 2l engine producing 265hp in a quattro Audi 5 Avant. I have not seen this engine in the new Audi 5 on their website.
Hey, thanks for the comment! I don't remember where I found the original stat, but Car & Driver reports that the new A5 gets 268 hp from a turbocharged 2-liter four-cylinder engine in the US. If I remember correctly, Europe will get lower power numbers and I'm not sure if that's due to emissions regulations or corporate greed lol
A lot of 'car people' want Avants, the kind of people that care about the superior handling dynamics VS a SUV. Everyone else especially in the US wants a SUV, not a Avant. They want to sit high up and 'feel in command of the road'. There is a reason wagons just don't sell in reality in the US.
@@tv321123 Most Audi clients I interacted with expressed being interested in the wagon version more, I personally prefer the sedan/coupe look more, but the avant will for sure be more popular...at least where it's sold.
I've been with Audi for over a decade and once I saw that there's no Cabriolet and the new car looks HORRIBLE... I'm thinking of trading it in for a Jaguar Ftype but the interior and lack of tech in the F-type is bothering me
It feels like those of us who like coupes are pushed upmarket to Porsche. Audi is saying coupe owners aren't welcome. All hail our SUV overlords. I think some alternatives would be the F-type, BMW M4, go downmarket to a Civic / Supra / BRZ et al.
If AoA would bring the A5 Advant to US, it would sell like hotcakes. It would be the most popular vehicle sold I guarantee. All Audi of America wants is the stupid ass EV crap!
You said that you were waiting for Avant and then say that you will keep your present coupe. I think if you wanted more practical and yet you like coupe shape then A5 sedan ( liftback) is perfect mix of two.
Hey, I’m keeping the coupe cause I don’t really need the practicality for another 3-5 years. My wife and I can do long road trips in the S5 just fine and it suits my daily commute. I would prefer a coupe as a commuter. I would be more inclined to get an S6, RS6/RS7, Panamera Sport Turismo, maybe even just the A6 allroad with a tune over the A5 sportback in the current configuration.

I had a test drive yesterday with the new 2026 Audi A5 sedan and is a beast....i have a 2022 Audi A4 which i will trade for this new model.

Is that to much to ask for, geez ???
I agree with your points. I have the rs5 there should be much more distinction between that badge and the other ones.
Same issues with the new Q5. I'm glad that I went for the 2024 Q5 model.

Ehh, the yuppie women buying Audi SUVs with overextended credit unfortunately are the main buyers of Audis. The sedans just don't sell AS well.
Great content and officially subscribed.
Thanks man
BMW does the same shit with their M badges. In today's market everybody gets a badge so they don't mean anything anymore.
not true.

True
M badges get a better engine.
BMW makes over 420 horsepower in the same class
I own a B9.5 rs5 sportback,I might have traded it for the new rs5 avant, now I am not sure if I would for the new rs5 if it only comes in the 4 door
Had an A5 cabriolet convertible and traded that in for a sedan. Now I'm wishing I kept the convertible.
The only reason i would by an new one id if they offered the Avant, not a big fan of the change in looks ether. Ill keep my 2023 for now.
I need the doors to be frameless and I need the RS version. Other than that I like it.

The new model looks like a Ford Fusion.
I was just thinking today that in at least my part of the world the coupé is out numbered probably 20-1 by the sportback
Plan on keeping my B9.5 S4 for a long time also.
Yeah those S4s are absolute gems.

Not a single reviewer is talking about those cheap small tiny calipers that are replacing the old Brembo style brakes on the B9 and B8's
Good catch

Audi B9 already have connect key (phone key), just not in the US.

They killed off the S5 Cabriolet & we can’t get the S5 Avant, Audi is killing us⁉️
The front end just ruins the car - why did they squish the grill?
I love it! I’m going to get a white S5 to match my white SQ5!
Enjoy! Now you have to tell us which you prefer: the sedan or the crossover SUV
I was finally looking forward to upgrading my 2013 coupe to a 2024 only for them not to release one. Ugh, I am crushed.
you can still get one... even order one... but act fast.
Audi product managers need to chill out on the touch screen buttons and spend more time researching how much the US wants Avants.

I would definitely be in line for one!
Is not usa known for syringky disliking avants? Based on the oercentage of the avant models sold ove all car makers
My two cents: It does look cheaper and I don't like the hatch back. Back to BMW
BMW doesn't play around with its sports ethos. Audi is killing off their sports and performance lineup for SUVs and EVs
I know it was time for a new version, but it just looks so blah compared to the 2024 A5/S5 Coupe and Sportback.
I agree you don’t get an S badge
Everyone does so maybe the play in the future is to just debadge it, especially if you know you have the performance model.
I'm happy i bought A5 S line 2024 that 2025 A5 is ugly inside and outside
I was gonna buy a 2025 but then I saw how ugly it was so I bought a 2024 A5 sport back premium plus

fucking done with audi.
They're slowly moving away from everything that made VAG enthusiasts enjoy the brand.
