Just for context I am an MD/MPH and I own multiple cars. My favorite daily driver is my Miata. It is driving therapy to and from work and I get to experience most of its abilities on my daily commute, without going over the speed limit. For comparison, the GT4 goes all the way to over 80mph in third gear. In the 458, this is even more pronounced. I find you can’t really utilize most of the performance on anything with more than 300hp without having to worry about losing your license. That is why I do agree that driving a slow car fast is more fun.

so glad I just pulled the trigger on a 2024 RS5 Competition Coupe. the last year Audi is making a 2-door for North America. so sad. I agree with everything you’re saying. although, Audi is being very hush hush about the B10 RS5 Avant coming over. they neither confirmed, or denied it coming. I bet they will. rumored to have the Panamera 4S E Hybrid powertrain, with 536hp. time will tell.

Buick does sadly have a core audience 😂Toyota with the Camry have managed to attract the younger crowd..but Buick just screams senior citizen or safe first car for a teenager! And as far as vw! They are basically the father of most of the brands on this list Bentley..Bugatti..Audi..Porsche they all fall under the Volkswagen umbrella

There really is no such thing as an "SUV". Most SUV's are really minivans with 4 doors as its used to haul kids and groceries. The only true SUV is something with offroad and performance capabilities such as the Range Rovers. But because of its size, they have become immensly popular with families. Still, when I see SUV's on the road, I just think "4 door minivans".

I own a B9.5 rs5 sportback,I might have traded it for the new rs5 avant,now I am not sure if I would for the new rs5 if it only comes in the 4 door

im 28K in on my 2018 Audi S5 B9 Sportback Prestige. Purchased it with 45K miles in 2020, only have 75K miles now in August of 2024. Its been in the shop for a total of over 95 days over 4 years. Absolute nightmare. Rocker Arms failing, piston rings chattered, control arms broke twice in 15k miles (and I drive 4-5K miles a year usually). I love the interior and the layout, and the look, but its an absolute money pit.

You said that you were waiting for Avant and then say that you will keep your present coupe. I think if you wanted more practical and yet you like coupe shape then A5 sedan ( liftback) is perfect mix of two.

The biggest issue with Audi's in general is maintenance cost, if you go to the dealer they will 2 to 3 times or more the whatever needs to be done. The trick is having a really good mechanic that knows how to work on Audi's and is reasonably priced.

There's been a lot of criticism from people that haven't been behind the wheel yet. Sure, some things LOOK cheap, but maybe see it in person and touch it before losing your minds. I'll wait until I test drive to decide how I feel.

The Audi S5 Avant is the car to get if you can miss 100K+. Tax-wise, in Europe, I would be interested in the 2l engine producing 265hp in a quattro Audi 5 Avant. I have not seen this engine in the new Audi 5 on their website.

It's honestly rare I quite literally agree with everything said in a video, I'd say you're spot on all you said imho, very bummed out they're not really treating premium paying customers (S/RS) with the respect they deserve, and as a european I feel bad you guys won't get the wagon, not everyone needs an SUV man, some people want the space but not the bulkiness...

The B10 Avant is not coming to North America, read an article in Car & Driver. Total wagon sales in US accounts for only 1.75% of the US market. 1.25% of that are accounted for with Subaru Outback. All the remaining wagon, MB and Audi etc. only account for.5% of the US market. No way they're bringing new regular wagons to the USA, doesn't make financial sense. I wish they would but it won't happen. I'm surprised they brought out the RS6 and E63S to be frank.
