    Great video. I used Delta products for years. Now more than ever, I appreciate Delta Product quality. As a Home Service Team Company, I have replaced many of the bargain products people buy. I am certain to advise then to stick with quality Delta Products. The value is in a product that will hold up to everyday use. Delta Product Styles and finishes are also top quality. Great job on the video. I encourage my clients to watch them to become familiar with Delta Quality.

    Can't seem to find info if using with a bathtub. Have a bathtub, ceiling rain shower and a hand-held shower on a slide bar. Do I just plumb the R10000 as normal using bottom port to the tub spout and use a pull up lever spout to divert water to the R11000 3 port (2 function) diverter valve? What's the desirable way of plumbing this and where will water come out first when turning on? thx

      You could probably hook the tub to the bod spray side. There is a tub value that is different that the shower value. The tub valve uses the tub spout to send water back up the value to the shower heads. You could run a tub valve with the diverter value above. BUT the tub spout would have to be the one you shut off to send the pressure back up to the diverter. The difference is that the TUB valve will flow more water down the tub side, vs the 3 way is designed for shower heads and not filling tubs

    My plumber just installed a Delta shower system with a T11853 diverter. Supposedly it came with an RP51918 cartridge. The showere head and hand shower work independently but not together wit the shared function. What could be wrong?

    I just had this unit installed with the 3 way cartridge. It’s brand new. When I set the diverter to the shower head, I get a small amount of water coming through the hand sprayer. Any help on the cause and remedy would be appreciated.

      sounds like the diverter cartridge is leaking

    • @David-sr3tz
      @David-sr3tz 2 месяца назад

      @@shaneb395 that’s exactly what it was. My plumber didn’t remove the cartridge when he did the plumbing work. Delta sent me a new cartridge - when
      I replaced it, the leak stopped.

    Question why do you always have to cap the right side off if your only using 3 functions. I ask that because I had planned to install the hand held on the right in the shower and it just makes since to have route the pipe directly to the hand held

      I want to do the same thing. Hand shower to the right. What did you end up doing? If you used the right side port, any issues I should know about?

    I bought this valve but the instructions are basically useless since they don’t include installation depths to the finished wall. Just terms like thin wall vs thick wall installation and they don’t define them. I am retrofitting from the back so need to know how far thru the wall to mount the valve.

    3:23 I noticed when you said finished edge you calculated just for the 1/2” backer board and 1/2” tile but not the mud thickness/trial size or any water proof membrane or the trial thickness for that if using any

      The instructions give a +/- 1/4" so you should be fine with keeping that in mind

    can I use this to divert water to bathtub spout?

    • @deltafaucet
      @deltafaucet  2 года назад

      Hello Carlos! Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company and we are happy to help. Yes, the R11000 can be used to divert water to a bathtub spout with the correct trim kit. With any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us in a private message. -Carrie

      I just spoke to Delta customer service and they said no, diverter is not for that purpose. The only solution for tub spout is the pull up pin. Unfortunately, that is not our preference because it leaks water and with the current drought situation, we can't afford to waste water.

    • @deltafaucet
      @deltafaucet  2 года назад

      Our apologies, we thought you were referring to if it would divert the water to a tub spout, not turn the water on from the tub spout. They are correct, the lift rod would be the only way to turn the water on from the tub spout.

    Why in the world would you use shark bites on a new install?

  • @itzdummy

    You don't mention if you're using a three-way trim, which outputs to use and which one to cap

    i cant find any official instructions on how to adjust this to make the water a little hotter, maxed out the water is just barely warm..

    • @shaneb395
      @shaneb395 2 месяца назад

      you need to adjust the shower body valve (the one that you turn to change the water temperature), take off the knob and you will see a white ring you can rotate to adjust the max hot temperature. If you don't adjust it, the default is barely warm

    you did more talking than showing, what's the video for and your shut off is very low if that's a walk in shower. I give this talk show a thumbs down. Can't get any lower.

    Please use a real plumber when making a video . When a plumber watches your illustration , it makes us not buy the product
