In Pokemon Colosseum, an easy way to tell if Return is stronger than Strength is if it has 4 hearts in the animation. If it has 3, then it can only be weaker.
Unfortunately only two Pokemon in Colosseum learn Follow Me, and one of them is the final Shadow Pokemon in the game. So if you want to pull off this strategy in-game you have to use Furret, who isn't exactly the bulkiest Pokemon out there. And you still have to watch out for moves that hit both foes. If it works out, however, you'll deliver a serious blow the foe's Pokemon.
I have fond memories of Focus Punch in Pokemon. I taught it to my Ludicolo, along with Double Team and Belly Drum, gave it Brightpowder and maxed out it's speed. Here's how battles would work: Ludicolo used Double Team! Opposing Pokemon's move missed! Ludicolo used Belly Drum! Ludicolo cut its HP and maxed its attack! Opposing Pokemon's move missed! Ludicolo used Focus Punch! Ludicolo is tightening its focus! The opposing Pokemons' move missed! Ludicolo used Focus Punch! The opposing Pokemon was completely obliterated!
Connor Lane And in Colosseum, while Follow me Furret isn't exactly the most pro strat out there, it can do that to let your other mon fire off the MOAFP
Wow, that is a really dickish strategy, but could also backfire horribly if your luck turns south. Breloom can pull off Focus Punch in a similar way with slightly less risk but without Belly Drum. First, it uses Spore to put a foe to sleep. Then while the foe sleeps, it sets up a Substitute and can start spamming Focus Punch. If a Substitute takes the attack, Focus Punch will still go off because the user wasn't actually attacked.
+Chris Koraltan Mawile is still actually a decent pokemon. It has a suprisingly good movepool it can use, being able to learn things like Flamethrower. Meaning it is capable of covering some things other team members might not be able to.
Jarsix i was speaking in terms of Gen 3 i don't know if it's that good of a pokemon in Gen 3 if you can prove it's good for this Gen tell me because i want to know
Nuh uh, you're way too cool looking to be Silva!... Now seriously leave or your terrible luck will rub off on us XD You know you're fancy when you have an elevator made of light. I'm with Rui on this one! That douche can't just expect us to stare at his gravity-defying hair while he gets away!
I always used Mt. Battle too. Mt Battle is great because if you get far enough, you have Pokemon of every level available to fight, so if you're purifying Shadow Pokemon from much earlier in the game you have a safe place to battle and level them up or whatever. And there's lots of cool stuff to get with Pokecoupons.
the other thing is mt battle levels go high enough that it can be a great grind point easpecially since all 3 dogs are 40 so its useful to make Raikou or Suicune relevant levelwise if needed I don't run Entei ever, even in XD gale I like mt battle cause again its useful for pokespot pokemon since the rare ones I like and can get them caught up if needed and mirror b pokemon if needed as well so doesn't matter if its collesuem or XD gale the place is useful
I know this is an older comment but I also use Mt. Battle for grinding. I tend to use Raikou and or Suicune in nearly all of my runs through this game so I try to make sure I get Thunderbolt and Ice Beam respectively and I'm usually up to at least the mid-50s by the time I'm done.
By the time I even got to the Realgam Tower, my Espeon was level 73, the rest of my team was in the fifties, I just grounded up on Mt. Battle. It's easier that the colosseums and that's also how I open the hearts of my shadow pokemon as well.
+Howling Boo It wasn't stupid. I, for one, always like to hear others' experiences, and it's interesting to hear that I'm not the only one with grossly unbalanced levels in Pokemon games. Don't stop commenting just because one guy wrote a sarcastic reply.

Now I’m actually pointing this out, but 5 of Chugga’s Pokémon in his Colosseum Team can actually be in Scarlet and Violet, as Espeon, Quagsire, Misdreavus and Forretress are in Scarlet and Violet normally, Typhlosion has to be transferred either from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl for the Johtonian Variant or from Legends Arceus for the Hisuian Variant. The only Pokémon that is in Chugga’s Colosseum Team that can’t be brought into Scarlet and Violet is Granbull, as the Snubbull line is currently unobtainable in Scarlet and Violet. And speaking of Scarlet and Violet, I’m actually going to transfer some Pokémon from Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, Sword, Shield and Legends Arceus to Scarlet and Violet like Wyrdeer, which I think should have been in the Paldea Pokédex, as you have to use Psyshield Bash, Stantler and Wyrdeer’s signature move, 20 times to evolve Stantler into Wyrdeer, though Stantler can learn Psyshield Bash only by Egg Move in Scarlet and Violet. And yet Hisuian Qwilifsh can evolve into Overqwil because it can learn Barb Barrage, which it needs to use 20 times to evolve, as a Level Up Move. Like the Pokémon introduced in Legends Arceus should have been part of the Paldea Pokédex when the game was released.
0:58 Cipher is not really threatening World Peace because if they are not stopped by Wes then they would have eventually been stopped by Red when they drew his attention by shipping Shadow Pokemon to Kanto or Steven's attention when they ship them to Hoenn.

You mean; Xehanort? Or Ansem-Riku?(that's what they call Xehanort, after he starts wearing the same outfit as Nascour), during the one-on-one boss fight against him; which is the most difficult boss in the entire game, besides Dragon Maleficent, but at least you have Donald and Goofy for that one. Ansem-Riku, you're on you're own, and in a small, cramped space, with a dude who can destroy you in like, 5 seconds. But the best part is when you beat Tiny Nascour, aka, "Ansem", you get the best keyblade, and you see the kid from the Sixth Sense stab himself with a key-shaped sword, and Ansem-Riku looked like a rejected Final Fantasy character.
@@SilentVinyl Yeah; but in reality, while he calls himself Ansem, he's not really Ansem. He's Xehanort. He just pretended to be the actual Ansem; for some reason. Sure; the plot can get confusing at times, but if you manage to keep up with every game, read every Ansem Report, there's still a chance you'll be confused, but the games aren't all bad just because of their confusing plots, except Chain of Memories, and like, Re:Mind. But to answer your question, yeah, he could be Ansem-Riku, or just a rejected Final Fantasy villain, or Sephiroth cosplaying as Ansem-Riku. Sorry for the long, detailed reply, but since we're talking about KH here, it pretty much has to be a long, detailed reply. But it's also one of the best game franchises I've ever played, and I'm glad Sora made it into Smash Bros, with Kazuya, Joker, Terry, Banjo-Kazooie, Sephiroth, Cloud, Sonic, Mario, Bayonetta, Solid Snake, Pac-Man; Mega Man, Pikachu, Mewtwo, and the hundreds of others.
I have never been in the mid forties at the end of a pokemon game. Not once. For the first four gyms of a regular game, I typically gain approx 10 lvls by the time I am done with the gym. For the last four, it drops to about 5 lvls or so per completed gym.(please note that these are both estimates and averages and thus aren't precise) That means that by the time I hit victory road, I am somewhere in the neighborhood of lvl 60. And I don't ever seem to spend that much time grinding. I simply fight as many trainers as I can. I hit first of the elite four in the low 60s, some times i get to 66-68 by the first elite four battle. I often end the game with some of my team around lvl 70. Bottom line: It is not possible to end a regular pokemon game with your team being only lvl 45 or so.
On my first play through of sapphire, yes the GBA version, I hit the elite four with my team at level 50 or so. The elite four weren't too bad, the major exception was drake, as I didn't have anything to really combat dragon types. It was the champion that did me in. All of his team had 5 levels on mine, and long story short, the only reason I lasted more than 12 turns was because of excessive item usage. My team was blaziken, swellow, magneton, gardevoir, absol, and gyarados (I think). As a result of that, I never hit the elite four at any level less than 57 or 58. Getting to level 46 doesn't even take that long, How many trainers did you skip?
Ok.... I haven't played the gen II games or their remakes. maybe there just aren't as many trainers in those games? I don't know. I have played sapphire, alpha sapphire, platinum, emerald and Y, and I never fail to hit level 60 or so by the time I get to the elite four. I don't even fight that many recurring battles or wild pokemon, or at least I don't remember it that way. At least alpha sapphire and Y have the Exp share going back to working for the whole party (it did this in the original gen I games and it was called the exp all).
Certain games have a specific amount of trainers. You either must space your team out like crazy or you do grind against wild encounters and rematches. HGSS' level cap is so low and if you're playing every trainer by Victory road your team should be mid 40's. DPPt, ORAS, FRLG, BW you reach around 50-55 by the Pokemon league. BW2, XY, SM you reach around 55-60. The older games have less Pokemon in their Regional Pokedex's thus leading to lack of EXP wield because you're fighting the same thing all the time. It also might be the case where you might not use all 6 Pokemon. Which changes a lot of results
Good on you. Digimon games (as far as I've played) are actually on a really unique battle system, plus it's one of my favorite childhood TV shows. Pokemon is good for the sheer fact that it's classic, plus the whole system of type advantages adds another level of thought. So...yeah. Gotta agree with you on that one.
You're the first to call it awesome instead of funny, at least as far as I can remember. XD Congrats, thank you, and I love it for that very reason. XD
"Don't know how this works, but I wish I had one." It actually only looks like it's made of light because it's the glass reflecting the lights in the room. If you notice, when the elevator comes outside, it's actually in a glass tube. I'm guessing it works by way of a suction, sort of like those money tubes you'd see at a bank or a Costco.
I agree chugga. I definitely really enjoyed the battles at the start, but now this late in the game i think speeding through all battles besides boss battles is a good idea
“It’s taboo to have a let’s play go for longer than 30 parts.” *Several years later* “Hey everybody, it’s Chuggaaconroy! Welcome to part 82 of Xenoblade Chronicles!”
i love going back and looking at the story. Oh, you've been introduced? fight the disco guy. purification works like this. now have an entei. want a ladybug? suicune. Shadow pokemon lab, end.
Apparently, Pheaization already said it, but to reiterate and/or expand upon that, Nuzleaf (and even more so with Shiftry) is based on Konoha Ninja (the Naruto manga didn't invent this leaf thing; look to Digimon Adventures 02's Shurimon for a famous pop culture example) and tengu (the folktale explanation of where ninja skills come from). Some ninja would line their vests with explosives to complete missions and/or destroy their devices to ensure their side wins.
Chugga, the Nuzleaf Explosion thing is from the fact that it's pre-evelution, Seedot, can learn it. They thought it would make sense for a seed to be able to explode, which I guess makes sense when compared to other things, but they didn't really think much about the evolutions when doing the move pool for Seedot. So, it isn't Nintendo Logic, it's just something that wasn't thought out.
he catches pokemon in his free time. killing heartless and nobodies is very stressful, so he catches and trains pokemon to relax in between adventures.
Great strategy if you want to use a Heracross with that particular move set. Use endure and then reversal because reversal does more damage the lower you are on health. So reversal's full strength comes out when you are at only 1 hp. Also it is smart to use a salac berry if you can get one to assure Heracross can attack first and not get taken out before he attacks.
Chugga something I've been thinking about a cupple fo time is: are you recording your voice while playing or while editing? Sense you're talking during speed ups aswell like nothing happend. Im just curious ^^ love your channel : )
"you're gonna be hard-pressed to find a regular trainer who doesn't even have a shadow pokemon" (next area has 7 regular trainers with no shadow pokemon)
Nuzleaf is the crimson alchemist, but he was killed, brought back to life, became the 8th great sin, and then Ed transmuted him into a plant but that plant somehow became able to walk... and speak... and then FINALLY realized he was in a different dimension.
i've always wanted to use a Heracross but i've never had a good chance to do so either because something else was picked over it like Scizor or it was too much of a hassle to try and get
Pokémon Colosseum: Part 32: The Master Ball, and more backtracking. Sunny gets the Master Ball, but backtracks to grind, yet again to prepare for the final battle.
Usually my team is around Level 50 for the final matches of the main story. I didn't know Overheat was the 2nd strongest fire move (and that Blast Burn was the strongest fire move, and that both were better than Fire Blast. My Arcanine in SoulSilver has Overheat, and I have more respect for Flannery as a trainer now. Close Combat's a good move. I used it on my Staraptor in Platinum and my Infernapes in Pearl and HeartGold. Nuzleaf can use Explosion. Interesting. For a minute, I was thinking that Feraligatr was that Shadow Croconaw from before. I didn't know Bounce existed in Gen 3. I thought it came out in Gen 4. I can see why the under 30 or bust thing was prevalent since back then RUclips videos couldn't be over 10 minutes (Explaining why Mother 3 is like 100 episodes long. If it had been done after the limit was removed in mid 2010 or later, I really think it'd be a shorter LP. On a separate note, I'm finishing that LP someday, along with TTYD and the others I haven't seen). I like seeing your serieses no matter how long they are.
After falling asleep for years with the Disney Channel on, I always wake up to the Disney Junior block. Not wanting to get up, I grown to enjoy it.... /verylatecomment
Hey chugga. Go to your channel and select the playlist for pokemon colosseum and select episode 32. when it takes you to watch the video look at the gray playlist bar and is says on video 30 that it is 30 second rock.
yeah i researched that. I know about the split, i just thought that poison was a special type for some reason. Just as you WOULD think that dark is physical but it's special.
Oh so many memories, Pokemon Coloseum is the best game ever, well only this one. For the male hero is so bloody epic and his right hand man. Man I wishthey made this for the 2d 2d adventure game also.
Your half right. Pokémon does have multiplayer mode. You can battle and trade with your friends and strangers across the world. ALMOST every Nintendo game have a multiplayer mode in some way.
he already did grow up,thats why he's revisiting a game from back from when games weren't just about shooting things. Maybe, if you weren't a 10 year old who only plays call of duty because you see every one else play it, then you would remember the best years of gaming
14:40 A better tactic than fighting Lt. Surge with Diglett or Dugtrio is catching Geodude earlier on in the game. All three of them are Ground-Types rendering the Electric-Type attacks useless. However, Lt. Surge only has Electric-Type and Normal-Type attacks. Diglett and Dugtrio will take normal damage from Normal and no damage from Electric while Geodude takes half damage from Normal and no damage from Electric. Just saying.
I have 3 ideas for your next LP! 1. Pokemon mystery dungeon. I don't care which one, they're all fantastic! 2.Mario & Luigi: Bowser's inside story. Gameplay, story, humour, they're all great! 3.Zelda Spirit tracks. You like trains? You like Zelda? How 'bout both?

Tropius..
I don't think it should have to do with just that, but rather, knowing that it was the only one in the game.

I try not to skip any.
I just realized in this video that he was slightly off about what level Espeon learns Psychic at. Espeon learns Psychic at Lv47 and not 48.
Heracross- Heracules, as in the beetle its based on and cross
long or short, I say your LPs are the best!
I like how Chugga starts of saying he is underleveled, then continues to fight level 38-42 pokemon for most of the video xD
You're the first to call it awesome instead of funny, at least as far as I can remember. XD Congrats, thank you, and I love it for that very reason. XD
Fake out and Focus Punch "curse you bodybuilder"
"Don't know how this works, but I wish I had one." It actually only looks like it's made of light because it's the glass reflecting the lights in the room. If you notice, when the elevator comes outside, it's actually in a glass tube. I'm guessing it works by way of a suction, sort of like those money tubes you'd see at a bank or a Costco.
"Overheat is one of the most powerful fighting type moves?"
THANKS CHUGGA
overheat is the most powerful FIGHTING type move? i thought it was the one of the most powerful FIRE type moves
I love hwo she says Wes quickly let's go! When he says I'll be waiting for you.
Best of the best troll fighter right here. You deserve a metal. I applaud you!
When you notice Chuggaaconroy foreseen Coronavirus in 2013
I'm sure every single Totodile is happy.
I agree chugga. I definitely really enjoyed the battles at the start, but now this late in the game i think speeding through all battles besides boss battles is a good idea
“It’s taboo to have a let’s play go for longer than 30 parts.”
*Several years later*
“Hey everybody, it’s Chuggaaconroy! Welcome to part 82 of Xenoblade Chronicles!”
i love going back and looking at the story. Oh, you've been introduced? fight the disco guy. purification works like this. now have an entei. want a ladybug? suicune. Shadow pokemon lab, end.
I LIKE HOW IT LOOKS LIKE NOCTOWL IS HEADBANGING WHILE ITS SPED UP XDXDXDXD
Call of Duty has... variety?
That's the funniest thing I've seen all day!
The cliff hangers, THEY HAVE RETURNED
"you're gonna be hard-pressed to find a regular trainer who doesn't even have a shadow pokemon"
(next area has 7 regular trainers with no shadow pokemon)
When Chuggaa said "Phenac Stadium" It sounded to me like "FedEx Stadium"
good luck with the new channel
Nuzleaf is the crimson alchemist, but he was killed, brought back to life, became the 8th great sin, and then Ed transmuted him into a plant but that plant somehow became able to walk... and speak... and then FINALLY realized he was in a different dimension.
i've always wanted to use a Heracross but i've never had a good chance to do so either because something else was picked over it like Scizor or it was too much of a hassle to try and get
Hmm this video was recommended to me in 2020....... got to 6:39 and found out why..... -__-
ESPEON LEARNS IT AT 47
Pokémon Colosseum: Part 32: The Master Ball, and more backtracking.
I like seeing your serieses no matter how long they are.
these series is one of the best..
The cursed taboo.....2 episodes ago. I would've commented this then but I didn't know about it.
After falling asleep for years with the Disney Channel on, I always wake up to the Disney Junior block. Not wanting to get up, I grown to enjoy it.... /verylatecomment
Nuzleaf knowing explosion may be refrence to the plants with fruit that spontaneously explode in order to spread seeds
Favorite episode of the series. ^^
3:37 Phenac colosseum round 1 rewards: 5,912P and Tm 18 Rain Dance, Round 2 rewards: 8,024P and Tm 11 Sunny Day, Round 3 rewards: 8,832P and Tm 19 Giga Drain, and Round 4 rewards: 9,020P and Tm 22 Solarbeam...

You did a nuzlocke of Colosseum? You, friend, are a champion.
It was a very brief encounter. He ran into him right before entering the mayor's house.
Oh so many memories, Pokemon Coloseum is the best game ever, well only this one. For the male hero is so bloody epic and his right hand man. Man I wishthey made this for the 2d 2d adventure game also.
long games? gamecube? original tales of symphonia .THE FREAKIN' BEST GAME IN TH EHISTORY OF BEST GAMES!!!!
Sriram Ramesh yaaaaas
Your half right. Pokémon does have multiplayer mode. You can battle and trade with your friends and strangers across the world. ALMOST every Nintendo game have a multiplayer mode in some way.
You may not have realized it, but you have just written wise words my friend.
Waits for Nascour to get in elevator and ascend.
Rui: Derp, we should've chased him huh?
Understatement of the year.
he already did grow up,thats why he's revisiting a game from back from when games weren't just about shooting things. Maybe, if you weren't a 10 year old who only plays call of duty because you see every one else play it, then you would remember the best years of gaming
Also my Feraligatr defeated the guy next to the healing station at 1 health "beast mode activated"
no problem!
I thought it was hilarious that Cyndiquil has overgrow as his ability XD
Nascour was genre savvy enough to not drop the lift key.
Not to mention, He spelled it "Graphicll Improvement" I have no words for this

A better tactic than fighting Lt.
It looks like Rui is backing away in fear when she gets stuck infront of Wes.
I also thought Pokemon Colosseum would have more episodes before finishing. Well, there are always bonus episodes. :)

"Affection would be the best person I could use in this situation."
Its the only person on the team left standing...
that Entei statue was awesome
Ah, Heracross. One of the mightiest non-legendary Pokemon ever to grace this series. :)
I have 3 ideas for your next LP!
1. Pokemon mystery dungeon. I don't care which one, they're all fantastic!
2.Mario & Luigi: Bowser's inside story. Gameplay, story, humour, they're all great!
3.Zelda Spirit tracks. You like trains? You like Zelda? How 'bout both?
Troll destroyer wants to learn the move "Shotgun", but it already knows 4 moves. Damn.
