If the DEI fire department was thinking about firefighting and saving lives rather than how to hire more LGBTs then they might have implemented a common sense program like that. Of course, check on disabled people during evacuations, seems a no brainer.
I think that’s a great idea. 💜 Perhaps you can reach out and suggest that idea to a local organization that already works with the elderly and have them coordinate and expedite the info and names to the local fire department?

Looking at the tours through the burn zones that are taking hours of video - can hardly believe that only 24 people didn’t make it. Would seem to be that it would be more like in the 100’s.

That’s the sad part a lot of people in SoCal have grown quite complacent and arrogant believing that wild fires are In Northern California or certain dryer conditions. The other problem is the lack of preparation for natural disasters. I get California runs through fault lines but honestly our state politicians seem to neglect situations from critical methods to maintain water. So it’s our state politicians that cannot seem to grasp the situation at hand. And I hope people begin to realize why you need to vote very carefully and logically. I can honestly say I’m not Newsom fan for reasons of the fire season. It’s the same song and dance routine for every fire season. I vote as independent but I don’t believe he is the guy for the job. Certainly Karen Bass didn’t help matters with her cutting the LAFD. And the fire chief isn’t without her hand in the pot because of her personal politics. Whenever you have an opportunity to prove yourself a great business take it do not cast it aside to prove a point. The fire department is underfunded and outmanned because of policies. Sure we impact the environment but we also control it. We maybe don’t have weather anomalies like the Midwest and the tropics endure. But by providing necessities for our firefighters and first responders to find methods to either control and maybe prevent these fires. We just have to pick a smarter path then the current system we have no.

There will never be enough fire fighters, fire trucks, or water for an unstoppable fire storm. Prevention by cutting, clearing, or use of fire prevention chemicals on underbrush is necessary. Prevention is paramount against this kind of tragedy.

I have been trying to understand the Fires, every year and cannot. Why can't they store Water? Why don't the Homeowners, Firefighters, Bucket Brigades, Volunteers from other States, and other Countries fight yearly
