omg imagine his neighbour who had a baby the day before dealing with all this too. i had a baby 3 months ago with great support and a home to go to after the hospital, i can't imagine how stressful that would be on top of being post partum.

America has been pushed into thinking that families shouldn't stay together. That it's okay to send your kids to boarding school, college 2000 miles away, and kick them out when they're 18. We're been brainwashed by the boob tube and Hollywood movies to think we have to be "self-sufficient" and living with your parents as an adult is lame and you're a loser if you do so. NONE of that hold true in non-wh1te countries. They've just been pushing this on wh1te nations to try to destroy us. The pushers of this horrific BS nonsense are the same ones that run the banks & own the media as well as Hollywood. THey wear tiny, round hats & rock back & forth while worshipping satan! THey're also the ones responsible for pushing policies to keep our borders open so the 3rd world can come and invade us!

In 2016 I lost my mum - misdiagnosed at the hospital and they caused her death. She taught us value in family and our pets, not in posessions. Having lived around the world and evacuated for hurricanes and fires I understand the emotional toll. One of the houses we lived in was condemned so we had to move neighborhoods. In one of the countries we moved to, a shipping container that had everything in it was stolen, our entire family had everything in there, keepsakes, furniture, everything to live all gone. When you lose everything, you learn to appreciate even the tiniest of things. Back then I had a small suitcase of clothes but nothing more. I tried to understand how people could be so horrible and take everything we had. So it angers me when I hear about looters and hope the government makes an example of them, they should face a long jail sentence.

That’s not what happened. And it’s not hot.
The companies did a cost base analysis. They recognized that newsom and the environmental agencies aren’t allowing for proper management. They were cutting funding. They wouldn’t bury power lines. They left a main reservoir dry for a year. They knew this was coming yet they did not prepare at all. Complete negligence.
The insurance companies, to avoid financial ruin, took away the coverage. It was a ticking time bomb and they knew that, and acted accordingly.
If only newsom had. And the rest of the DEI fires that are in charge. Bunch of useless far left activist idiots.

Shocking to see how the houses are more combustible than the trees and gardens around them. The interview talks about the entire landscape being changed. If you look at the Paradise Campfire area in LA that had the massive 2018 fire that area never recovered. That is so sad… I had a dear friend from college that lived in Paradise. I tried to get in touch with him a few years ago, but didn’t have any luck. I’m pretty sure all I had was his parents landline phone number which I’m sure is no longer in service if they moved far away. The reason why the trees stand is because they were being watered by nearby sprinklers, so they had plenty of water in them. The ones that burned were the ones that were dried up and weren’t being watered.

However, your assessment regarding trees is contested by Robert Brame, a man with four decades of experience as an arborist. For one thing, trees that carry a heavy load of water can still burn - they burn from the inside out. Also the steep prices people pay to the water utility companies mean that many of us Californians rarely water our trees. 20 years ago, it was normal to have autumn rains start by mid September. In 2018, in Paradise, there had been little rain since the prior spring - some 7 months earlier. It really means something that such dry trees did not burn up even when next to houses turned to dust.

We get lots of burned out LA transplants in the county next door (Ventura) I'm betting some will flee to Thousand Oaks & Agoura, where on earth do you put 200K displaced people that are evacuated right now? The firefighters take up all of the hotel rooms, where do people go? BTW, it's the local govt that manages water supply and we had flooding rains the year before so they felt confident in repairing those reservoirs (you can't ignore repairs or you have an Oroville burst Dam situation during atmospheric rivers) but that was a bridge too far for our infamous Santa Ana winds. I was in a fire in 2018, joining Cal Fires community program has helped along with mitigation efforts that these folks weren't required to make (clearing brush 200 ft from all dwellings, etc) due to their affluence. We are not allowed to waste water on lawns and landscaping but these folks don't have that requirement thanks to their wealth so this needs to be dealt with (water limits on the upper crust or we suffer the consequences) and that includes golf courses and other nonsense that wastes a valuable, limited resource like water.

Larger employers are reimbursing any emergency lodging the employee has to purchase. Palisades as I remember it was the most 'neighborhoody' place I ever visited in California. You had neighbors, kids playing on the street. Yes, wealthy area, but homes are homes. This man and what he lost is an example, they are not sticks and bricks, they are places that people have made memories, stored memories, give you something good to return to at the end of the day. the safety was wiped out. May those insurance companies be destroyed, the disgusting greedy management staff must be prosecuted.

Yes, there are a few things fishy with the pumps. But this fire was absolutely out of control with those hurricane-like winds. There’s little the state can do to “mitigate” this kind of event, short of mandating that all structures be constructed of masonry, with metal roofs and fire shutters. The Santa Ana winds will always blow and fires will always follow them. Unfortunately, like many other cities, the original settlers fundamentally picked a lousy place to construct a major city…

@@PhilosopherKing73 Totally agree. It's a beautiful place but fraught with challenges - not only the propensity for wildfire, but water has always been fought over, and never mind the Big Earthquake that is inevitable. The destruction and loss of life will be a hundredfold to what we see here.

California wildfires demand immediate, large-scale action. Deploy aerial water tankers and fire retardants to contain the flames in high-risk areas. Establish firebreaks by clearing vegetation and using controlled burns to prevent further spread. Mobilize firefighters and emergency crews with advanced equipment to tackle the flames from multiple fronts. Use real-time satellite and drone data to track fire movement and plan strategic interventions. Evacuate threatened communities swiftly and provide shelters with necessary resources. Long-term, focus on improving forest management, reducing dry vegetation, and addressing climate change impacts. Unity, speed, and innovation are crucial to saving lives and restoring California’s landscapes. 🌲🔥

The first time we were legally allowed in was sometime in mid-late October. My heart and prayers are with you all.

Everything comes into a very clear perspective in the coming weeks after a fire. My advice is keep moving forward, dont look in the rearview mirror at all.
