Ended up with four of the 660 clones. Did the same as you, have put Proflow filters on a couple. Runs much better now they can breathe.

That is a part that comes stock on the stihl 660. It's for spit-back. I do agree though, remove it

First thing i did was remove the ugly sticker on the air filter cover😂. I just got my 660 about 2 or 3 weeks ago, after a few days when i walked in my shed all i could smell was gas. It was leaking from the plastic 90 degree elbow the go's in the tank ( just under the impulse tube) i replaced it with the original stihl part, and used a stihl fuel line to the carb. beings the stock line was very flimsy. Scared me though because it really looked like it was leaking from the tank itself.. happy it only took me $12 to fix it. You had a chance to run yours yet?

@@kdcustoms1272 yes after I addressed the air filter issue and removed the spark arrestor in the exhaust and leaned out the high-speed jet and the low speed it really runs good now of course I put on a 24 inch bar and converted it to the .404 full chisel full comp chain. It runs great now hand cuts a lot better getting rid of the 3/8 chain and bar
