All his life my dad has been a news junkie. He is 86 yrs old now. I walked into his room the other day and he was watching horse racing. I’ve never ever seen him watch it before, so I asked. My friends father was 82 and he wasn't sick yet asked for hospice care. They willingly went and pumped him with morphine for 8 days till he died. All because he was disgusted,saddened and hopeless about our country.

The devil is trying to distract, divide and crush us. We must tell ourselves that God has this. As a veteran, I quit the VA, when they kept saying I had to get this shot or that shot. The Lord spares me from so much. I try to give eggs away and once in a blue moon, someone slips me a few bucks but, the Lord seems to always provide for the increasing bills. We have to remind ourselves that we still have so much more than the next family. Sometimes I wish I could rent a room to a garden working Christian that wants to leave the system

I grew up in HI on and off and lived in Honolulu and Hilo and it doesn't make any sense. I'm cbrn specialist in military and had house fire and doesn't seem natural. Not to mention we NEVER worried about fires as mousiture from daily rains and certainly not spread like that naturally and so hot disintegrated people homes and cars. No wild fires do that and none of it makes sense. Also how they are treating them in aftermath is insane and Bidens response. Aloha

It's the 1st time in my life I haven't had a garden. I'm struggling at this point. I've cut out everything I can cut. My food storage is a blessing. I can, freeze what I can. Please know that there are many of us that want to pull together. I am older, but I can watch your children, homeschool, make a darn good meal with little to work with. I can clean, wash, fold and garden. The men can carry heavy loads, fix broken homes and appliances. We can do this. The government hates us folks, we must look to what Jesus asked us to do in these times and follow his ways. It does work. Many women and some men have holistic skills. That too will save us. I could go on and on. I want this type of community, but only the like minded can be a part. It sounds hard, but we must only tighten the circle, not break it.

I hear you. My husband was in the Army for 30 years and was in three wars. He had a lot of mental and physical problems. He was turned down for any VA disability. He died and never got a dime.
My husband pplied in 1973 the first turn down. He retired after 22+yrs .i started applying for him. He was turned down time and again until 2019 hes 80% now still applying

My brother and son are fortunate financially and do not understand what many of us are going through. They are not prepping. I cool my husband and I with fans, not air conditioning. We are preparing. They’ll show up at my front door when the SHTF ador real. We have 14 and 10 year old cars and they drive flashy new cars. NOT complaining, just stating how it can be so different between family members. I am not complaining and I thank the Lord for everything we have. They really are clueless.
The US is in its final days. It is all going downhill. Our administration is so far in the hole we may never get out. Nothing is right now. How sad. The 50s were so wonderful and I was so grateful growing up then. So sad.
Not to mention all city and county ordinances against having gardens and chickens, actually making it against their laws to raise your own food! Our freedoms are one by one being stripped away from us.

Prices in Arizona have tripled over the past 3 years!!! When I moved into my house it was valued at $159,000 a nice little 3 bedroom in a rural town. They just sold a house smaller than mine two homes down for $418,000 !!!! Insanity!

Last year we were renting an apt in Dallas for $1400. We had to find a place because rent was going up to $2600! We bought raw land and got out of town!!! It's a struggle trying to develop but we had a small garden first thing.

Praying that you get your AC up and running. Maybe you know this but most units have an overflow switch that when the AC pan fills up the switch turns the unit off for safety. With all the heat and high humidity the units can do this and sometimes they get clogged too. 1- check then empty the overflow pan then reset your unit. If still doesn’t work then 2- pour a little vinegar thru the overflow line/tube from the air handler pan to outside. Let it sit and if it drains reset the unit. Might have to do this a couple times if it’s really clogged. If you have a wire or snake tool that might clear the clog too. Hopefully this maintenance is all it takes.
We’ve done it on many of our family members AC this summer. Hasn’t mattered whether it was a 1 year old unit or 10+ year old unit. Everyone we’ve shared this with who got their AC back said same thing “ we’ve never had to do this before and their AC never cut off like that before.” Keep in mind most of us, even here in the South, haven’t had a summer with temps and humidity this high for such extended periods, that’s why. And it ain’t over yet.

I have tried so hard to make my two young adult kids see what’s going on but I just don’t think they believe it…I feel like I raised them right but I just can’t compete with what’s out there. They’re both in college and avoided loans…but what will be left when they graduate? I certainly never thought we’d be here…I’m still working on my pantry and gardening and canning…but I’m still terrified….
