I prefer Tom Ellis's version of watchtower and sinnerman more than I do the original artists whom created them..

Dylans original kinda sucks imo. Although, Hendrix's cover is probably a little better.
This gives watchtower more meaning, though sinnerman... it’s just a completely different style. I love Nina Simone’s rendition of the tale, but Tom Ellis Just has a beautiful voice with just enough dough was so it works well
@@rustingstardust5206 He's singing a version closer to Bear McCreary's arrangement of Watchtower (the one that was used heavily for Battlestar) than the Dylan or Hendricks versions.
It really just comes down to the style and the way of expressing
Most rock voices have a more harsh ans louder
While most pop voices are more smoother.
Hence why hendrix and others are more different
Also on dylan's case his voice has always been that way thats why you thnk it "sucks"

Amazing version. I have to say, for those who say "which version is better". they both are.
Hendrix's version is pure, deep and powerful - it is the man telling the tale - the watcher who sees all, and mourns the tragic story of the world - and and can spin the tales of life into music. It a melancholic masterful story and and has no comparison.
Ellis' version is primal - it is raw essence of the man who is living the story - from the first person. It is the visceral rendition of the man living the tale.
It too is powerful and has no comparison.
Both are incredible - and all of us are fortunate to have experienced them.

I mean, if he really wants blind obedience to the rules, then why did he (she?it?) give us free will?
Why doesn't she (it? He?) make his existence provable?
Why the whole "faith" thing?
Just drop into Dundas Square, Times Square, Trafalgar Square, EVERY town square in every town on Earth on New Years Eve at midnight (omnipotent and omnipresent, remember?) and remove doubt from the minds of every person on Earth.

Lucifer actually was before his fall the most perfect angel in creation and obviously God's favourite, he was called The light bringer which became Lucifer in Hebrew if I remember correctly, but by jealousy and hatred for the human race, he rebelled and was sent to hell

I was raised on Hendrix and yes he is a guitarist without equal Ellis's version has more soul in the lyrics. Simply put Hendrix was an unmatched guitarist but his vocal skill was average for the time.

It's been a while so i can't remember how exactly,all i can say is i found a video clip on youtube from the episode i turned it to mp3 from youtube converter and then i used movie maker to make the video exact how i wanted.
