- Alrighty folks! For over a year now I've been wanting to come across a little truck that we could fix up on the channel to give away! Well as soon as I seen this one I knew that it has the potential to be a good little truck. Of course a large part of that depends on if it runs and how well it runs. Let's see if we found a winner or a dud! We appreciate the constant support and I hope you guys enjoy the video!

Anything you can drive home from the boneyard is a keeper. Nice little pick up.
Must have been how I thought in highschool by the time I was 19 I had 6 cars,2 Chevy regular cab short bed 2wd Chevy S10 trucks a 89 el, and a 88 Tahoe, and three 79 chevy k20 and c20 trucks, not counting the c20 78 Chevy truck I was driving lol
Puddin’ you could have totally edited out oil bit, and most people probably would have. That’s the honesty in this channel. Which has found me watching all of what both channels offer. I love it man. It feels good to see .
I agree 💯 people will know trust me 😂😂😂 and they will call you out on it 😊
I have a good gate for your S10 and a hood if you’re interested let me no. Off a 83 S 10 no rust.😊
My number one question is why in the world was this truck in the salvage yard to begin with? This truck is way too sweet to have been discarded like that. Love your videos!
I thought the same thing.
Exactly!
this is why people love puddin: he shows stuff like forgetting to put the oil in the engine. it would have been super easy for him say in the video "my camera died but trust me i put in the oil" but he's not afraid to show mistakes.
It's a great looking truck as it sits. The cragars actually even look appropriate.
Exactly what I was thinking. Those cragars look good on there. About 3” lower and oowee baby.
That is exactly what I was thinking. Look perfect on that vehicle, with the color.
Yeah, I second the Craigers.
Watched your interview with Derek today, awesome job. Hope you get a ton of new folks coming to the channel.
Where was that ?
@@sccarguy8242 vicegrip garage in the isle with derek biere or however u spell it. Its oreilys podcast basically
@@sccarguy8242 O'Reilly's RUclips
Puddin hittin the big time! Love to see it
@@stanleyguard5593 hes sponsored by oriellys just like Derrick!
First of all, congratulations Hank on your graduation! Second, love the truck, man what a survivor it is to be in such great condition after a long stay in the boneyard!
Clearly derek is an avid viewer of "poodans fab shop". Nice job casually correcting him and powering through. You are the best puddin! Love the videos
Thanks for promoting trades! I am a high school welding technology instructor and I am glad to see someone like you promoting scholarships towards kids getting into the trades. Keep up the good work puddin!
That Sleeperdude sure is a class act!
And I bet it did not take a lot of asking on that deal ! With his kids working with him like they do !
It's funny how we both live in the same town and I drive by the place with some of the vehicles you have on the channel almost every day! Nice to see you saving these vehicles from the graveyard!
The ol', "Camera died" (while Puddin calls AAA to come get it runnin) trick. Classic!
You and your family are good people Puddin! This country needs more scholarships for trade schools! Nice work on that truck!
Wow, Puddin! I'm in the process getting my grandfather's S10 back on the road. It's been sitting since 2008; grandpa had put a new motor in it before he passed. Great content, as usual!
Git -r-done Ron. 👏👏👍👍✌️
Ron sitting on your ass, doesn't get the project D.U.N....🤣
They actually are good little trucks. I had a Blazer and friend of mine older than me had a S10 4 x 4 pick up. Both of them had the body like this one on this episode. Great that you are keeping your family history going by getting your grandpa's truck back on the road.
I am also rebuilding/restoring a 1985 reg cab, short bed bought new by my uncle and given to me as a graduation present in 2001, which has been sitting since around '07/'08.
@@daniellawrence2236 Good luck with your truck. I'm hoping I get my grandfather's truck running this week. Puddin's content helped me out a lot.
Puddin....the truck is so happy to be alive, the horn is letting us know that it's alive...!!!!
It’s great to see you giving support to the kids to go to trade school. The trades will give them opportunities to support their families, dirty hands and clean money did well for me. Looks like it’s doing well for you and your family. God Bless all y’all and keep the great content coming. Love the second channel and the more relaxed and fun stuff you’re doing.
Always a good evening with Sir Puddin! Congratulations Hank!😊
For sure Congratulations Hank, best wishes for your future whatever you decide to do may God Bless You.
Wow, I can't believe someone scraped that S-10. That's gonna be a sweet ride!!!
My dad lost his uncle within the last year. His uncle had a truck almost identical to this S10 that he always wanted. He watches your videos all of time and really enjoys them. He mentioned that you name your vehicles and we were wondering if you would name this one Dale or Uncle in honor of his uncle that past away.
Thanks for considering it!
My kid just had her college graduation, then in a couple weeks, she graduates high school. Crazy but true. She is more driven in life than I could ever be. Gets that from her mom, I'm sure.
I honestly don't know what I'd do without your videos, Puddin. I've been diagnosed with a nerve disorder that is untreatable and progressive. I've been a car guy my whole life, but have lost the ability to do almost anything physical. There are a lot of days I want to throw in the towel, and then I watch one of your videos and your humor, honesty, and family values remind why I can't. The vehicles are merely a tool that you use to entertain people while reminding all of us what is really important in life. The way you talk about your girls, your humility, and all of the little lessons you share as you go. You are truly a gem and have been a saving grace to me many times. Thank you!!
Hey thanks for all the kind words Ben. Keep pushing my friend! I hope the videos can continue to reach folks like you who they help! Comments like these help keep me motivated. Thank you.
Puddin is good for the sole :)
In high school my history teacher offered his old truck to the class. I was the only person who was interested. It was a 93 red sle Sonoma. It also had the 2.8 with a 5speed. I picked it up for a hundred bucks! Once gone over and fix up. I drove that truck from cape cod to daytona beach on a permit license. I drove her till after I got married and grew the family. Had to up size. That little truck drove us everywhere. Good stuff there puddin. Your interview went well too good job!
Thanks Mr. Scott Crocker for those great memories in that truck.
Puddin. You are truly one amazing person. Not only are your videos full of learning full of humor (I laughed out loud many times during this video) but we get to see that there are really good people out there which is what we all need. I love the collaborations the heart l felt moments etc. your an inspiration my brother. Thank you and the fam so much for your time!!!
Can you imagine walking round a junkyard and seeing some guy dancing and acting a fool. Too good.
Brother I had a 1984 S 10 pickup with a 2.8 V6 5 speed. Bought it as the second owner in 89, my senior year! LOVED THAT TRUCK! Took it on our honeymoon in 1990..Brought my baby boy home in it in 91...sold it like an idiot in 2006.
I saw your O'Reilly's interview with Derek earlier, it was really great 👍 I hadn't 87 s15 Jimmy I bought new with a 2.8, it ran for 250 something thousand miles. The truck sounds good and looks good, excellent choice 👍 congratulations to Hank on her graduation 🎓 keep bringing the awesome content and videos 👍✌️🇺🇲
Watched you and #VGG
Two of my car favorite guys.
I know you bolt have different styles but for me the takeaway is the personality that you both bring to you channel. Want to thank you for what you do.
Congratulations Hank!!! Also thank you so much for supporting the trades. You both are awesome people.
This is such a great idea and I’m stoked to watch it come together. Huge congrats on the personal and professional growth of yourself and your channel.
Best day of the week!!!! Thank you Puddin 🙏🙏🙏🙌
Your evolution from car wash to tire change is awesome! Enjoy your watching your videos each week. 👍
I brought back a 1991 chevy 1500 short bed std cab 350 5 speed. When I got it running and driving, the horn did the exact same thing. Everyone thought I was happy to be driving it and doing doughnuts while honking. I think it was the truck happy to be driving again.
Sometimes it sucks being in Australia, especially with a sweet give away truck like that S10, I would drive the wheels off that, its perfectly my style.
Great ep as always Puddin love your content and builds.
That's awesome that yall are doing the giveaway! I never miss a sleeper dude or a puddin video you're both great! And congratulations to Hank on graduating!
Absolutely hands down, an A class dude 😎👍🏻 ! Congratulations to your graduate daughter 🥳!!PUDDIN, YOU THE MAN !!!👋🏻😎👍🏻
Those service truck boxes would make great cabinets for the shed 👍
Tell Hank, Larry from Sacramento California said, "congratulations on her graduation",it's a great milestone. God bless you all.
Your videos are the only reason I look forward to Mondays!
The wheels look sharp on that truck. Hope they are staying.
That old green dodge in the background looks a good builder.
Hey Puddin, you should do a custom tailgate. Like the door on your electrical panel at your new shop. Get some!
Man O Man!! Here we go again!! (Need that intro video!)
That's going to be a good little truck! Can't wait to watch all the videos! God bless! Congratulations Hank!🎊🎉🎊
Someone's going to get a sweet little truck ...the wheels suit the old truck.. looking forward to what your going to do with it... Keep up your cool builds always waiting for the next cool truck..or maybe a car ? Love the way you treat your family and your buddies..Wish their was more people like us in this crazy world...
I had a 2 8 in a Beretta and it was a beast... it had over 300,000 miles on it when I sold it.... and it drove....yes DROVE away with a burnout.... anyone saying bad things about them "aint be knowin"
Congratulations Hank 🎉 good luck to ya. Decent truck! Got the ol'bug shield totally 80's 😂
Awesome find Those old S-10’s are sharp looking. My pops had one similar when I was little his was a short bed tho. Can’t wait to see what you do with it. Keep up the hard work, your doing a Fantastic Job.
That S-10 has a mystery?! Why was it even there at the junkyard. Previous owner was stumped I guess on the troubleshooting? The first generation S-10's were the best. The 2nd gens were just weird looking. Wow a Pioneer stereo deck too, and the V6!!!! Wooooo Hooooo!!! Great job on the troubleshooting, tests, and start, and run and drive! Fabricate to Educate!!!!!! pow, pow, pow lol.
Don’t listen to negative people big dog. You have the most original hilarious informative channel with a splash of emotion there is.
It’s great to know you give back to the community!! Keep on doing what you do.
Great video as always Puddin, I love the fact that as you grow your platform your still sticking to the basics and doing things how you always have!
That "looks good to me" oil filter, was golden!! My old friend mechanic used to do that a lot! Lololol
Boggles the mind why someone would junk such a good running vehicle. Nice find!
Super excited about this little build.
I'm 7 minutes in, and I'd take it like it sits! Can't wait to see what you do to it
40:16 Behind that white Buick! It's a Zamboni!
Do a will-it-run on that sucker! LMAO
Heck yeah! Slick looking little S10
Brings back memories of when I was in high school. Wanted a S10 real bad! Nice truck! Have fun fixing it up.👍🏻
Heck yea I thought it might be the s10 just by the way you acted when you and Mortske walked the junk yard. Great work by the way.
I’m UAW member have worked for Fords for the last 28 years and I really don’t care for foreign vehicles but that little Darwin truck would be a really cool little truck! Good choice tho that little truck actually turned out to be a little GEM
congratulations on your daughter's graduation! my two stepchilds graduated high school. and my daughter is in seventh grade now.
Love those hub caps. That truck is super clean
Awesome little truck, they just don’t make them like that anymore. To have it run and stop right out the gate like that says a lot about the quality of the truck. 👍🏻👍🏻😎
As always, you not only showed us how to check out, test and get a truck running again, but also entertained us. I don't ever come away from your video without a smile and more knowledge.
I love them little s10s they live forever!.. Reminds me when i was young my dad had a couple of them and he hardly ever had to put any work into it. But.. i dont know much about the durango's
Awesome job on finding that truck. I like that body style over the newer ones. Finding something like that around here would be like winning the lottery.
Great interview today! Loved it.
When I saw the junkyard walk around on Mortskes channel, I knew you would come back for this truck. Great choice 🤙🏻
Three observations, that blue is sweet! That sucker is clean. And that bug guard...😎
Oh thank you for the hard work and all the smiles puddin you rock!
It's Puddin Time and give away build
That's a damn nice truck. Someone's gonna be awfully happy with it. I have yet to find one with a interior as nice as that one.
Dude, the Puddin’s Pimpin’ slow mo’ montage part was great!!!! 🤣
The old school trick for removing an oil filter is to use an oil filter wrench.
Dude AWESOME score! Can’t wait to see what you do with this! The 1st generation S10 is my all time favorite truck. I had one when I was a teenager and never got a chance to do anything with it cause I was too busy working. Hope to get one in the future.
Yep, it’s the square body of S-10’s. I had a ‘98 Gen2 until a semi totaled it.
@@bigredgreg1 damn that sucks! I had an 88 S10 long bed. I bought a K5 blazer for the engine and transmission to put in the S10 but I was young and didn’t have the space or time. Man I wish I could get my hands on another one but people out here want $6500 and up for beat up ones.
Thanks to all you guys for what you do to keep us that's unable entertained and gives us something to look forward to!
That utility truck bed in background would be sick on that load star you have
Good Monday. Puddin is on!
that is one nice little truck.your do such amazing builds.
When you open that door ! It was almost like seeing your life-size poster in moorski's corner of his shop !
You messing with that cats igloo house with the stray in it! He knew you were ready to evict him. MEOOOW!
Awesome of you and the sponsors to do this! I would love to win that as is, but the safety concerns is important. Wish me luck driving that back home to Utah.😁
🚛👍🔥 You've got yourself a keeper there! It's a fantastic-looking truck straight from the boneyard. The way it sits is just perfect, and those cragars add a cool touch. Can't wait to see if it runs and what plans you have for it. The anticipation is real! Keep up the great work and keep us updated. This giveaway truck might turn into something truly special. 🚀🔧💬
That would be so nice. I used to have an 86 tahoe s10, a 01 4 door blazer, a 01 2 door blazer and now currently have a 98 gmc sonoma. Great little trucks. 😉👍🏼
What a great little truck! Lots of fun out at the salvage watching you get that thing running. Love it. Congrats to Hank!
Can’t wait to see the interview with Derek, ironically Puddins Fab and Vice-grip Garage are my two favorite you tube channels hands down!! One thing I admire about you and Derek is you are first committed to your family and then to your fans and channel, very admirable!!
My sentiments exactly. PFS and VGG are my favorites.
I can't take a guys use of the word Guy over and over and over and over. Boring and annoying but what's a guy to think
It’s on now!
Thats a nice little truck, going to put a big smile on someone thats for sure. You hear this all the time no doubt but you and your family and friends are one class act, God bless and take care of yourselves, cant wait to see how she turns out.
Love how you have all these old pictures of old work you did and share them
Hey Puddin', there was a black Mercedes that I saw you look at when I was watching you all on Mortske's video...I just thought I'd tell you, you should rescue it! It seemed to be in really good shape!
He seen it they talked about it, puddin said 305 t700r an low, dime whites an steelies :)
Once you pull all the antique emissions equipment off there's actually room under the hood. Those air injection tubes are always in the way. Both of my 84s are 2.8l and other than being slow and loud they are dependable. My two tone Durango was full old man spec while that one is more work spec with the vinyl seat.
Nothing like a first get S-10. Between the body lines, the pin stripes and them classic wheels with the white walls. That’s one sweet rig. Got a second gen with more rusty weight reduction than a fish bucket and the bed is splitting but she runs sweet (when it’s not randomly dying) and the 5speed is fun. Still not quite as cool though as the squares. Cool rig. Durango lol
That is one sweet ride. I bought one brand new and I loved it. If I would have known that it would look like that 39 years later I would have probably kept it. LOL. Love what you are doing with it and it will make someone really happy. This is exactly why I love your channel and your lovely family.
I had a 84 with a 2.8 .was my work truck.Dropped down 4" front & back .
Up graded A/C , added some jams. It was unstoppable just fireproof it was under my condo when it burned down in 2007. Miss my low rider. I'm retired now have to enjoy your channel.
This is a great video, moreover, you are getting folks to focus on the need to train our up-and-coming students in the vocational trades is the best part for me. Thanks for taking your treasure and reinvesting in your communities kids. Best to you and the MRS,, PUDDIN'
Heck yeah looks like a real solid start to a good build can't wait to hear the details so I can get on board and get in on it looking forward to the next video
love it - Dad had a little S-10 that looked just like this, reminded me of him out working on it in the yard (good feels, despite the misty eyes)
Great looking S-10, and impressive as hell it started and ran like it did. You are a wizard of small trucks. I love it.
It happens to all of us! I forgot the oil pan bolt one time, I was using my church lawn with permission and as a teenager doing oil change myself on my van, poured 5 qts of oil straight down to the grass before I realized I had forgotten bolt, lol, fun times!!!
Thanks for the effort u always make on good content. I always enjoy it!
Somebody is going to get a good truck, looking forward to seeing it built. For me at last the fun is watching, and learning a few things that I didn't know before.
Congratulations to your daughter on her graduation! I greatly respect what you and your wife are doing with this scholarship.
