You can't live your life as someone who you will never be, society would love to force us all into its ridiculous norms. This gentleman has inspired so many people, I wish I had made more of an effort to get to know him before he was called to heaven. I can only hope that I have a chance someday to help some young man through this most scary and difficult process, then my life will be complete. I don't want another young man to waste so many years of his life away on trying to fit in coupled with all the self hatred that goes along with that. I cannot believe I have just learnt about the death of Cal Rider. The fact that he was gay did not interest me. I greatly admired his belief that we should all be able to wear our leather gear out in public even if it was just a perfecto. R I P - my friend - though we never met !

I fought it till I was in my 30s I had a motorcycle to give me a excuse to wear leather in public. what a change when I came out.
