@@gauravgarg5329 bro, I have driven it 36000 kilometres till now, no issues in service & spare parts, you can definitely go for Alturas G4, it's service cost is not cheap as it's compitator Fortuner but if you see, fortuner service interval is after 5000 kilometres but Alturas service interval is on 10000 kilometres, so if you calculate, it is less than Fortuner, & also Mahindra diesel engine is also reliable as Toyota, so I suggest you to go for Alturas G4 & Alturas G4 costs 38.5 on-road Bangalore, but Fortuner top model costs 54.8 lakhs, so you save more than 16 lakhs, best of luck

This isn't an Indian car.. Alturas G4 is actually a rebadged version of the Ssangyong Rexton.. SsangYong has been incurring huge losses, which forced Mahindra to stop further investments and look for potential investors. SsangYong is currently under court protection and Edison Motors is expected to take over the SsangYong in the near future.

All 3 of them made a good choice. Alturas is such a stellar car. They should have adopted the new logo on this one too since 35 lakhs with a mahindra badge swayed people away. Get the new logo and a proper facelift.
They aren't giving 5th generation rexton in india and that is really good and a real competition to endevour and fortuner

1. Better Suspension & Steering
2. Bigger Quarter Panel windows (3rd row feels more claustrophobic)
3. Better designed wheels
4. Panoramic Sunroof
5. Retractable door steps for better ingress & egress.
6. Needs name change (that G4 stands for Genaration 4 for Sangyong Rexton)

I've seen Alturas and XUV700 side by side, If i plan for topend XUV then definitely I'll put 2l more and go for this luxurious beast. XUV have hell lot of features, but quality speaks for itself.

Alturas has lesser power figures than 2 segments below, XUV 7OO. It produces 177PS and 420Nms while 7OO produces 185PS and 450Nms. They should introduce a facelfit and plonk in all they have in their arsenal, just like they did it with the XUV 7OO, and tune the 2.2L mHawk to produce 200PS and 500Nms for Alturas to justify its price and segment, it belongs to. If Mahindra can give so many features in a 23L car, then they can surely give much more in a 32L car.
Im about to book the Alturas, Mahindra should not discontinue it.

I am a proud owner of this vechile and drove 12k kms till date.
- Very good build quality.
- Feel of premiumness inside cabin with nappa leather and ventilated seats with excellent lumber support (a feature required for long drives) , easy access / memory function / auto tilt of mirror when putting on reverse gear.
- Best in class safety features with 5 star safety rating and segment leading 9 airbags.
- Mileage City 7 yo 8 , Highway 11+ , Long driving- Approx 12kmpl (During my recent drive from Cuttack to Hyderabad (1200km) i got a average of 12.2kmpl.
- Service cost 1st - FOC 2nd (10k)- 8k inr
- Cost including full accessories and Insurance ,5 year RSA and 5 year Extended warranty- 38.5 Lakh (On road Hyderabad)
Ventilated seats is also an excellent feature which enables long driving effortless...

Bhai... I was considering Alturas over XUV700/Safari. Maine dealer se Brown color 4x4 ya Black color 4x2 but usne mana kar diya. Alturas band hone walli hai... Another great car but let down by Mahindra team.
Bro If you have good budget then Please try to get 4x4 aur All wheel Drive. You can get XUV 700 all wheel drive

Because Sangyong have filed for bankruptcy and Mahindra was not able to save it internationally.
@Tushar - Strange. Alturus is very much available but they only make on order. It usually takes 1 - 2 months to deliver. 4x2 is discounted and only 4x2 is available. I saw 2 Alturus at Gurgaon dealership last week.
@@abhishektripathi8213 Yes but only those which are already manufactured by Mahindra. They have 4 color options but none apart from Black/White is available.
I wanted the brown color, which goes so well with Tan interiors (watch Faisal Khan review of the same) but dealer said clearly its production has stopped. And those in stock were manufactured 8-10 months back
